British artist Howard Robinson was born in the north
east of England in 1959. After five years of formal
training in graphic design and illustration, he earned a
BA with honours in 1980 from Brighton Polytechnic. He
then returned to his native county of Durham, where he
still resides. He is married with two children.
Howard has worked as an illustrator for over twenty
years and has won many awards for his work. He has
lectured part time in Natural History Illustration at both
Sunderland University and New College-Durham.
He excels in all forms of wildlife, although his main
interest is in birds. In 1990, he received the Randall
Cup for outstanding contributions to the activities of
the Australian Finch Society. He also maintains a large
collection of unusual plants.
Although realistic in nature, his style and interpretation
of his subjects lends itself to commercial applications
and as such his images are published worldwide. His
work can be found on numerous products including
Jigsaws, Fine China, Stationery and Book Jackets to
name but a few. His colourful and endearing images are
regularly used on the background sets of TV shows and
even Hollywood movies.

Canadian artist Jonathon Earl Bowser was born in 1962. He began drawing obsessively
at age 8, painting at age 18, and graduated (on the President’s Honor Roll) from the
Alberta College of Art in 1984. His limited-edition prints and collector’s plates are now
represented by many galleries internationally, and his original paintings are in public and
private collections across North America, Europe, and Asia - including the government
collections of China and Taiwan. The artist’s extensive and informative web-site receives over
1,000 visitors per week. Jonathon describes his unique figurative-landscape paintings as
Mythic Naturalism - images of the mysterious poetry of which the natural world is made.

Dominic Davison was born in London, 1972 and
now lives in Buckinghamshire, UK where he gets his
inspiration for his idyllic and romantic scenes.
One of the finest landscape artists working today, his
works display a Dutch romanticism using 21st century
tools and methods. His influences are varied and include
the 19th Century Dutch landscape master Barend
Cornelis Koekkeoek as well as the English Romantic
painter John Constable.
Though he uses a mouse instead of a paintbrush
to create his images, it is his observant eye, his
composition, and his use of colour and light, which
makes his images stand head and shoulders above his
peers working in the digital media.
Prior to joining MGL he worked as a freelance artist,
having his work published in magazines such as ‘3D
Artist’, and ‘Advanced Photoshop’. This work includes
both tutorials and double page galleries.
His hobbies include the cinema, videogames, art
galleries, and making music.
