This is a tremendous design with all of the advantages of a twin engine trawler, plus the freedom of a fully rigged modern sailing yacht. Under power she will cruise comfortably at nearly 8 knots while sipping fuel. She is also a very capable sailing yacht with Transatlantic experience. Her under-5 foot draft makes her a great Bahamas cruising yacht. There are two queen berths in a spacious 3 stateroom layout with a gourmet galley and luxurious salon allowing for a most comfortable liveaboard. Islander has fresh varnish and very recent (2014) bottom paint; there were no noticeable blisters observed at that time. Her mechanical systems are very strong with new transmissions, engines and generator housings, and rebuilt Northern Lights generator. Garmin electronics are current and up to date. Sails just reconditioned. Electrical systems are strong with two inverters, Northern Lights generator in sound shield, solar panels, and lots of recent batteries. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one of the most versatile designs ever built at a great price. Owner has purchased his next yacht and is receptive to offers.
