Using Water to Make Heat
The secret is in the all-natural, water-activated mineral
heat packs. Toss one into the bottom of the cooker, add
water, place the food or beverage-filled bowl or tumbler
on top and seal with the snap-on lid.

What it is & how it works
Like other more common heating methods, such as propane stoves, petroleum fuel cells, or electrical heating, the
science behind HydroHeat™ is reliable and easy to use.
Unlike these other methods, however, HydroHeat will not
create smoke or flames that can cause damage and
endanger users.
The active ingredient in each heat pack is quicklime—the
widely used chemical compound calcium oxide. In contact
with water quicklime increases in temperature to approximately 190˚F, sufficiently hot to cook vegetables, grains,
instant meals, freeze-dried foods and almost any hot
beverage.
When used in a well-ventilated area as directed, the steam
and hydrogen by-product dissipate quickly and harmlessly.

Most foods and drinks can be heated to serving temperatures within
