They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb”. NATIONAL NEWS Wycliffe at Point Fortin Open Bible Missions Conference During the period of March 13th –15th, members of the Wycliffe Caribbean T&T team were honoured to be a part of the Point Fortin Open Bible Missions Conference. Thank you Point Fortin Open Bible. Jo-Ann Flax spoke on Wycliffe missions and Brittney Balfour and Celicia Elliot manned the display table and shared on the great need and opportunities available to assist in Bible translation. . Wycliffe One Story Workshop Our Progress as of 1 Oct 2014 Active Language programmes are currently being worked on in 2,195 languages. 1,860 - the number of languages needing a Bible translation. This tremendous workshop was held during the period 25th –30th March 2015. The venue: Shalom Guest House. The varied aspects of story-telling of the scriptures, in the vernacular were taught and discussed. The Wycliffe Caribbean Team Celicia returned from an assistant teaching and training mission assignment to the Wapishana in Guyana. April 15th - May 11th. She is now preparing for her upcoming assignment further afield. Well done Celicia! Please continue to remember the Wapishana and Celicia in prayer etc. For the souls hanging in the balance. Where We Work In more than 90 countries, and all continents except Antarctica! Celicia is back home - preparing to go further afield! Brittney Balfour in training at Canil in Canada ! Brittney left our shores on June 13th for Canil. While there she will undergo training in missions, Her course: a Masters in Linguistics and Exegesis. She will be there for two years. We appreciate your continued prayer and other means of partnership support for Brittney. Thank you Brittney for your obedience to the Lord’s call on your life. Open Bible San Fernando Missions Conference On June 13th, some members of the Wycliffe T&T team attended this lovely conference. This was indeed a wonderful opportunity to share about the Bibleless with those who were present. We thank the organisers, for allowing us to pass the vision! We extend a heartfelt Thank You to all who have been involved in Wycliffe T& T thus far, and have contributed to the work of Bible Translation! We continue to covet your partnership as we work towards God's Word being accessible to every people group in their mother tongue - the language that speaks best to their hearts. REGIONAL NEWS Wycliffe Caribbean at Wycliffe Global Alliance - Third Table Forum Shanna in Turkey! Shanna attended this forum which was held in Turkey from April 27th - May 2nd. Older and younger leaders from all four Wycliffe regions were purposely invited to help create what WGA calls a “Third Table” forum – which is neither the “First Table” of the Global North and West, nor the “Second Table” of the Global South and East. The intent was to create a hybrid of the two - global leadership! Wycliffe Caribbean C.E.O. John Roomes also attended this leadership meeting. Wycliffe Bible Translators Caribbean - 3rd Annual Church Leaders Breakfast This year’s breakfast was held on June 6th in Jamaica. This was a wonderful time also to pass the vision re those who are still waiting . The guest speaker was Mr Mundara Muturi, Director of Wycliffe Global Alliance, Africa Area-Nairobi, Kenya. Thank you to the Jamaica team. INTERNATIONAL NEWS God’s Word of Hope in Iraq and Syria. Christians in Iraq and Syria are facing terrible persecution. But there is still hope. http://www.wycliffe.net/articles?id=5743&pg=1&library=T PRAYER NEEDS “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7). (Mark 11:17) In Prayer for the Bibleless, our colleagues, the Displaced, the Persecuted, the nations. Digital Access to Scripture Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it (Isaiah 32:2, NLT). Praise God that the number of Scripture products in digital formats is increasing.
