Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends of HGP,
This year, the Holy Ghost Preparatory School community will be celebrating
the 21st annual auction f.e.s.T., Friends Enriching Spiritan Tradition.
At this time we reflect on this special event and why, year after year, we continue
the tradition of the Auction. All proceeds from F.E.S.T. directly benefit the
students of Holy Ghost Preparatory School.
The Auction is the School’s largest special event fundraiser of the year.
At this point the Auction is in need of advertisements, gifts, sponsorships and
volunteers. The support for this event from alums, parents and friends is critical
to its success each year. Proceeds from prior auctions have helped Holy Ghost
continue to be a leading academic institution.
Holy Ghost has a vibrant community of 500+ young men preparing for
college and adult life through a challenging program which stresses the
cultivation of students’ unique gifts and talents, academic excellence, and
generous service to the poor. The School remains loyal to the legacy as a
seminary and continues to form young men morally, intellectually, and
spiritually in the Spiritan tradition.
We are excited for this year’s event at Pen Ryn in the Belle Voir Manor!
It is our hope you can come to this fun-filled evening that helps support an
excellent school!

1. What is the F.E.S.T.?
F.E.S.T. stands for Friends Enriching
Spiritan Tradition. F.E.S.T. is Holy Ghost’s
largest special event fundraiser of the
year, as well as being a fun-filled evening.
The evening will include live and silent
auctions. The auction has been such a
success in the past thanks to the support
of our HGP parents and alumni.
6. What is the ticket price?
Tickets to the event are $90 per person.
The early bird price is $85 a person and
the final day for the early bird price is on
March 22nd, 2013. You can purchase your
tickets online at www.holyghostprep.org,
click on Support HGP and look for the
F.E.S.T. tab to register.

The auction will be held on Friday, April
26th 2013 at the Pen Ryn Mansion in the
Belle Voir Manor at 6:30 p.m. Holy Ghost
will be celebrating its 21st annual auction.

is the purpose of the Holy
Ghost Prep Firebird Auction?
Money raised from the auction goes
directly back into the school to help
Holy Ghost Prep maintain its continued
success. The auction helps provide for
the current students and the needs of
the school.
4. Why is F.E.S.T. offsite?
F.E.S.T. is being held offsite for 2013
because there is a lot of work and added
cost put into transforming the gym.
Many logistical aspects are alleviated by
not having the event at the school.
5. Can I afford this event?
Absolutely!!! Auction items cover a wide
range of prices. You can also bring friends
and family and go in on large items.
Local merchants and businesses, parents,
alumni and friends of Holy Ghost donate
items for the auction. There are many
organizations raising funds and many
businesses are inundated with requests for
donations. We need the support of all
Holy Ghost Prep families to make our
auction a success. You can help by making
a personal donation to either the live or
silent auction, or solicit a donation of
goods or services from a business with
whom you deal with on a regular basis.
8. How can I advertise my business?
As an advertiser, your ad will be seen by
hundreds of loyal Holy Ghost Prep
alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends.
Prices of ads range from $100 for a
business card to $5,000 for a sponsorship.
9. How can I help?
Volunteer! Everyone is welcome and there
are plenty of areas where we need help.

The F.E.S.T. program book is distributed to every attendee and is placed
on the Holy Ghost website. This is an excellent opportunity to advertise
your business, an establishment you frequent or commend a teacher or
student on their achievements.
If you have a contact or someone you know who owns a business, we
could use help in reaching out to those businesses. Please forward
along their names or ask them to please support this fundraising event.
Advertisements will be placed in the F.E.S.T. Program Book. The
5.5" x 8.5" book will contain ad information and Live Auction details.
Silent auction gifts will not be in the book this year. This information will be posted online.

All Ads will be produced in black and white. Please provide camera ready artwork
sized to specified Ad requested. Final size of the Ad Book is 8.5" x 11".
If sent via email, please send in a pdf or jpeg file.
If you do not have camera ready artwork for your Ad, please provide us with your
company logo or other information you would like to appear in the Ad and the
Auction committee will design one for you.
Advertising deadline is april 1, 2013.

In order for F.E.S.T. to be successful, volunteers are needed! There are various
volunteer opportunities listed below along with the committee chairs. The
committee chairs and the Institutional Advancement Office need help! We

evening of F.E.S.T. there is also an online auction. Gifts are an integral part
to a successful auction. Now is your time to be creative in your gift giving!

Holy Ghost Prep Wine Arbor
The HGP Wine Arbor is present on the night of f.e.s.T. Pay $20 and
you have the chance of receiving a bottle of wine valued at $20 or
higher. So we need your wine! If you can provide f.e.s.T. with a
bottle of wine valued at $20 or higher, you would be helping this effort!
How do i drop off wine? Good news! There are a few options!
1) Drop off the wine to Shannon Perkins in Spiritan Hall.
2) Contact Brenda Bondarchuk, our Wine Arbor chairperson, at 215-968-2231 or
[email protected] to arrange pick up or drop off of your wine donations.
3) Wine will gladly be accepted at Mothers Guild meetings!
Please remember the wine cannot be sent in with any student of Holy Ghost Prep.

Online Auction
Our online auction will be opened for bidding in April so be
sure to check HGP’s site so you do not miss out on any good
items! The HGP sport teams photos (like the one shown at left)
will be included in the online auction as well as lots of other
items! This is a great way to support the 2013 Auction F.E.S.T.!
