Citizens' Centres.
The Mandate of Seniors' Services is to provide
the opportunity for persons age 55 years or
over
to participate in meaningful leisure
pursuits and to provide services that address
the needs of older adults as they relate to
information, communication and recreation in
facilities that are friendly, clean and safe.

SENIOR CITIZENS' DROP-IN CENTRE
CLUB 119 – DROP-IN CENTRE
Club 119 is the Host Club at the Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre located at 619 Bay Street. Club 119 is
affiliated with the United Seniors Citizens of Ontario. The U.S.C.O. provides information, education and
advocacy on behalf of Older Adults in Ontario.
The membership year is September 2016 to August 2017. Memberships are $4.00 each and are sold
during office hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you have a membership with any other club affiliated
with the U.S.C.O. your membership dues are $2.00 each. There are many programs that are planned for
your enjoyment by the Club.
Club 119 supports the Senior Citizens Advisory Council and assists financially with the purchase of
equipment and the operation of programs at the Seniors Citizens Drop-In Centre.

You will explore the use of a
painting pen called Elegant
Writer .Required for the class
is a picture lightly drawn or
bring one to sketch. Subject
matter is your choice. You’ll
use the pen to draw on your
subject after sketching it, or if
you are able to draw directly
with the Elegant Writer. Since
it is a full day, bring your
acrylic squeeze bottle with
you and we’ll also investigate
using it to draw/paint an
animal. Dogs are easy to
depict especially if they are
the terrier type, curly haired
or shaggy faced. Come again
to try another method of
expressing
yourself.

CLUB 235 – STEELTON CENTRE
Club 235 is the Host Club at the Steelton Senior Citizen’s Centre. This club is comprised of a full slate of
Executive members and is an active group. Our membership year is September 2016 to August 2017.
Memberships are $4.00 per year and are sold during regular office hours and Wednesday Card
Evenings. If you have a membership with any other club affiliated with the U.S.C.O. your membership
dues are $2.00 per year.
Club 235 assists financially with the purchase of equipment and the operation of programs at the
Steelton Centre, as well as, hosting several special events throughout the year. Club 235 Executive
Meetings generally occur on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. and all members are
welcome to attend. Bring a brown bag lunch to share with others following the meeting. The first
meeting will be on Tuesday, September 13th, 2016.
