Before using your Foredom® power tool with any of the accessories shown in this catalog, please read all
safety instructions. They are for your protection and should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal
injury or damage to the tool. Safety products, including glasses, ear plugs, and respirator, are shown below.
It is Extremely Important to Follow these Instructions:
• Always wear proper eye and face protection. Wear
safety glasses or face shields whenever you operate a
Foredom or any power tool to prevent serious eye or
face injuries.
• Always use a proper dust collection system or wear
a respirator to prevent the inhalation of dust particles,
polishing compounds, or other debris produced from
abrasive accessories into the lungs.
• Do not wear loose fitting clothing or jewelry. Loose
clothing or jewelry can become entangled in the rotating accessory. Be sure to tie back or secure long hair.
• Accessories in this catalog are rated for use at speeds
indicated with a 1″ (25mm) overhang or less. Overhang
is the distance from the front of collet or chuck jaw to
the tip or point of the bur, mounted abrasive, or other
rotary accessory.
• Never operate any accessory at speeds above its
maximum rated speed. Rotary accessories last longer
and provide their best performance by applying gentle
but firm pressure to the work piece and letting the
speed of the motor do the work.
• Pay close attention to the maximum speed listed for
an accessory and never exceed this rating. Maximum
speed is the highest speed at which an accessory can
safely be run. If used at higher speeds, an accessory can
fly apart, bend, or self destruct, resulting in possible
serious injury to the operator or a bystander.
• Extra care should be used with an accessory that has
a lower max speed rating than the speed of the motor.
When properly used, all of Foredom’s accessories can
be operated at the speed ratings listed in this Catalog
or on packaging. Always find out the manufacturer’s
speed rating before using accessories other than those
from Foredom.

Made with a vitrified, self-sharpening,
special aluminum oxide grain with
a super hard porous bond, V Stones
are the coolest running and longest
lasting abrasive stones. They easily cut
hard metals like titanium, chromecobalt, nickel-cobalt, tool steel, and
stainless steel, and softer metals such
as lead, pewter, brass and aluminum
with minimal smearing and loading.
V Stones also work on ceramic tile,
porcelain, wood, acrylic, glass, and
marble. They can be used to shape,
texture, and provide detail to carvings.
Their larger head sizes and coarser
grits make them more aggressive than
our CeramCut Blue Stones. They are an
economical alternative to plated and
sintered diamond points.

It’s not one or the other, these two superior products are complementary and effective when used together.
CeramCut Blue Stones would follow the use of V Stones as their finer grits and smaller heads help in achieving
detail and smoother finishes. Both abrasives are superior in performance and life to standard aluminum oxide or
silicon carbide stones. They remove material faster, run cooler and last 3 to 5 times longer.

Abrasive Discs and Cut Off Wheels Made in USA
Rubber Bonded Discs A-D1 and A-D2 are suitable for grinding, smoothing,
and cleaning glass, high speed steel, and other tough materials. Discs have
1/16″ (1.6mm) arbor holes.
Fiberglass Reinforced Cut-Off Wheels A-D6, A-D8, A-D9 and A-D11are used

Premium quality Dumont Sintered Diamonds last 5 to 10 times longer than plated diamonds and up to 100 times longer than various types of
silicon carbide or aluminum oxide mounted abrasives. They work with far less grinding dust and can be “re-sharpened” to expose new diamond
particles as often as desired by slowly turning (@4,000 rpm/15 sec.) against a wet dressing stone (A-10333, pg. 3). Even new sintered points
should be dressed for best results. Dumont sintered points come in a Hard Binder of 100 Micron/150 Grit for hard precious stones and metal
finishing work (especially gold) when contamination of the surface prior to application of porcelain is a potential problem.

someone uses the term buffing, polishing or
finishing, they typically mean a 2-step process of
cutting and then coloring by which the luster or

other materials. Its patented CubitronTM ceramic aluminum

3M Aluminum oxide sanding discs are made of high-grade
mineral and a bonding system which reduces shelling of the
mineral. These economical abrasives are excellent for fast
clean-up and pre-polishing work. Other sizes of discs and
bands are available for use in handpieces. See page 12.

3M Flexible Diamond PSA discs are made from a 2-ply polyester
backing film evenly coated with diamond filled nickel plated
dots. Grind, sand, and smooth wet or dry on glass, carbide,
composites, plastic, enamels, stone, steel, exotic alloys, gypsum,
ceramics, wood, bone, chrome cobalt, painted or plated surfaces. Use wet when working with gemstone, rock and glass.
