What is fullness?
When a drape is sewn or gathered with more fabric than
the width of coverage, it’s called fullness.
Sheers
For an elegant special effect, sheers may be used alone or as an overlay;
typically provided with 200% fullness and may be customized per your
specification.

Why add fullness?
Fullness adds depth, richness, opacity, and sound
absorption. In many cases, the more fullness the better,
but that depends on your event needs.
Our drapes are sewn flat, thus allowing the user to
select the fullness from nearly flat to more than 200%,
depending on the fabric and desired look.

What is finish?
Finish refers to the top and bottom of the drape.
Our drapes are typically finished with a 4”-6” pipe pocket
that allows for the sleeving of the drape directly onto the
hardware; and the original Velcro tear back pocket opens
to eliminate humps where the drapes meet. Most drapes
also include blind ties that allow the drape to be tied
directly to a pipe, such as truss or existing theatre pipe.

Lightly woven, IFR cotton-like fabric used to create a clean fresh look.

Most velour drapes are quoted at 50% fullness (1½ times
the fabric width). An ultra thin sheer drape may be quoted
at nearly 200% (4 times the width).
What is FR and IFR?
FR (Flame Retardant) refers to fabric that has been
topically treated with a flame retardant solution. FR-treated
fabric needs to be re-treated over time or during cleanings
to remain flame retardant.

IFR (Inherently Flame Retardant) refers to fabric that
is woven with flame resistant yarn or treated during
the finishing process, thereby guaranteeing its safety
for the life of the drape.
Both FR and IFR meet the industry standards set
forth by the NFPA 701 Small Scale. Certificates are
available upon request for all our rental drapes.

Everything starts with a good foundation.
Pipe and drape begins with 6 lb. to 62 lb.

How far do you need to go horizontally?
Because every room is different, we offer a
complete selection of adjustable horizontal

Drape Kings Pipe & Base 2.0™ is the latest
innovation in pipe and base technology for
supporting event drapery and signage. An
inventive solution to the old “hook and slot”
system, Pipe & Base 2.0™ saves time, retrofits
to existing hardware, generates revenue and
eliminates injuries and costly repairs. Set-ups
are a snap with this quick and easy installation!
No Humps
Drape Kings innovated this 5”- 6” Velcro opening that creates a seamless flow
along the top of the standard pipe & drape hardware system. The pipe uprights fit
into an upper slot to eliminate the vertical hump at each junction.

the color, height, and length of the drape, and we will price
your order by the foot, including the optimal fullness and all
the necessary support hardware.
IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS
Once your drape has been established, many questions may
arise: How many uprights, bases, pins, and horizontals?
Leave all that to us. Our experienced production staff will
pack your order piece by piece, based on your drawing
or requirements, paying close attention to every detail.

ORDERING
• Orders may be placed by phone, fax, or e-mail
subject to confirmation by Drape Kings. Pricing is based
on a one-week period, additional time periods are
discounted. Call our experienced customer service team
for an estimate.
• For availability and fabric swatches, contact our customer
service team.
• We may change specifications, or discontinue any item
without notice.
• We can ship in-stock items the same day.
• Plan ahead; reserve your stock or custom orders as soon
as possible to insure prompt delivery.
• Custom orders require a credit card and a nonrefundable deposit.
PAYMENT
• All major credit cards accepted, and we offer terms
to qualified buyers.
• Credit cards are charged for all final payments prior
to shipment.
• Call-for and delivery orders are prepared only with
the guarantee of a credit card.
• Sales tax is charged, if applicable.
• Net 30 accounts are available with credit application
and approval.
SHIPPING
• All orders are plus shipping via Drape Kings trucks
or common carrier as per your request when you order.
• When requesting a freight carrier, Drape Kings always
strives to select the least expensive and most reliable
carrier to deliver your shipment.
• Drape Kings is not responsible for the performance
of any shipper, whether your choice or ours.
RETURNS
• Any discrepancy with rentals, missing equipment,
shortages and/or damage claims must be made
immediately upon receipt and prior to your event.
• Additional terms shall apply as per our rental contract,
which is available upon request, and part of the standard
rental quote.
• Defective products may be replaced or repaired
at the discretion of Drape Kings and must be reported
prior to usage.
• No returns on cut merchandise, special orders,
or custom fabrications
• Cancellations and returns must be approved,
and fees may apply.
• Only pre-authorized terms returns are accepted.
• All call-for orders must be picked up within 30 days.
INSURANCE
Renter must carry in full force and provide Drape Kings with
a Certificate of Insurance for a minimum of one million dollars
General Liability, Workmen’s Compensation, and an Inland
Marine Floater for the value of the equipment rented. Such Certificate of Insurance shall indicate Drape Kings as named insured
and shall be kept enforced for the duration of the rental period.
Additional fees will be charged for damaged items.
To avoid those costs, follow these simple tips:
• Never use drapes in the vicinity of an open flame
or pyrotechnic device, even though the drapes are
flame retardant.
• Avoid stains by keeping the drape away from all liquids,
grease, and dirty floors.
• To avoid tears and rips, do not pull the drape off
the supports. Use only our drape clips, and never
apply tape, staples, pins or glue to the drape.
