Electricity and the sun – for us, these two elements are closely linked.
This is because photovoltaic technology provides us with a method of generating electricity
whose future potential is unbound. This is why, for the last 25 years, we have placed our bets
and gone all-in with the sun.

For the satisfaction of our customers
Our customers know that we always give our best. In 2016,
this was again confirmed in writing: for the fifth time in a row,
we have been awarded the prestigious “Top PV Provider”
seal of quality from the Bonn-based market research institute
EuPD Research. The “TOP PV Supplier” quality seal illustrates
that we have been given the highest possible marks from the
leading installers in the industry.
But we have not stopped there. Because quality and good
service are so important to us, we have also been certified in
these areas by both TÜV South and ISO 9001. This gives us a
head start that pays out for our customers.
4
For fair and sustainable production conditions
We take great care when selecting our suppliers, paying
particular attention to the use of durable, high-quality and
resource-saving materials in production, as well as fairly
traded products.
We support the local economy and minimise long transport distances. Almost all of the components in our novotegra
installation systems are produced in Germany and other
EU countries.
BayWa r.e. was one of the first companies to be awarded
the "Pioneers of the Energy Transition" certificate by TÜV SÜD
in 2014. This certification is further proof of our dedication to
the energy transition in all parts of our business.
"We are committed to the
success of our customers. This
is why BayWa r.e. is regularly
awarded top marks."
Günter Haug,

A revolution in
energy supply
Driving photovoltaic technology forward and exploiting its inexhaustible
potential for decentralised energy supply is one of the most important
tasks for the future. Given the increasing scarcity of resources however,
we also need a balanced mix of renewable energies today to secure energy
supply, such as photovoltaic, wind, biomass and geothermal energy. The
great global challenge is to use and integrate these renewable energies
to secure energy supply for the 21st century. BayWa AG recognised this
early, and founded the BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH in 2009. This
subsidiary covers all our activities in renewable energy, including solar
energy, wind energy, bio-energy and geothermal energy. Since its foundation, BayWa r.e. renewable energy has developed into one of the leading
traders and project developers in Germany and Europe. Our aim is to help
renewable energies grow around the world.

The new novotegra combines the best of two brands: the proven clamping
system by novotegra and the sturdy insertion system by Creotecc. We demand a lot from our photovoltaic mounting systems: They have to securely
hold the solar modules, be made from durable, weather-resistant materials, and sometimes need to withstand very heavy loads. That is why we
make our mounting systems from durable and corrosion-resistant aluminium and stainless steel. Taking the Eurocode load norms into account, they
are extremely sturdy and resilient, even at high snow and wind loads. We
use high quality materials and reliable production methods. With our certifications and approvals, we can also ensure that this quality will stay high
for years to come.
T Ü V R H E I N L A N D C E R T I F I C AT I O N
We have had the quality and reliability of our mounting system certified,
and have received the test mark from TÜV Rheinland, one of Germany's
leading technical certification bodies.
The certification's test catalogue covers all legal and technical details
that the mounting systems have to fulfil. This ensures that all our photovoltaic mounting systems are manufactured in exactly the same way as the
tested systems – using the same quality materials and processes. We also
passed the audit in the area of "sales and consulting".
CE MARK
We use our own production inspection for the novotegra mounting system,
which meets all the specified requirements of EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011,
annex ZA as basis for the CE mark as part of EU Regulation No. 305/2011
(Construction Products Regulation – CPR). Execution in line with EN
1090-2 or EN 1090-3, EXC1.

From pan tiles to beavertail roofing, from a simple saddle roof or more demanding roof designs, we have the right photovoltaic mounting system for
tile roofs. Quick and simple to assemble, it offers a range of individual
solution options and is extremely sturdy and resilient – even under high
snow and wind loads. The tried-and-tested clamping system offers you an
extremely reliable assembly technology, which can be used to secure the
modules both vertically and horizontally.
Our mounting system is made from durable and corrosion-resistant
materials. Preassembled components reduce the installation workload.
You can install a wide variety of modules in the clamping system using
just a handful of module clamp types, available in bare aluminium or black.
Our sturdy roof hooks are available for a range of load requirements and
tile shapes, either solid cast or with three adjustment settings. They can all
be easily attached without the need for broken tiles or expensive sheet
tiles, and do not make contact with the tile even under pressure.
The module system rails are available in a range of spans, both with
and without an integrated cable duct for cables and connectors. All of our
rails can be extended using pluggable or external connectors, with rail
protrusions also possible. End clamps can be used to connect modules
and system rails virtually flush. Whatever rails you use, the substructure
remains virtually invisible. This creates uniform, attractive module arrays.
You can also use our configuration tool Solar-Planit. Quick and simple
to use, it helps you perform a compliant system layout and structural analysis.
It also takes load assumptions for different countries into account according to Eurocode. Our mounting system also ensures excellent rear ventilation of the modules, creating an important condition for improving the
yield of the photovoltaic system.

Are you looking for a photovoltaic mounting system for a tile roof? Our
insertion system for tile roofs not only gives you top-quality stability and
safety, but also the advantages of a tension-free, floating module layout.
It also ensures an attractive look for your photovoltaic system.
The insertion system is extremely resilient, providing a sturdy and
protective hold for the modules. As they are laid in the rails, the load is distributed across the entire length of the module frame. The insertion system
makes horizontal and vertical assembly of the modules extremely quick
and easy, whilst ensuring excellent rear ventilation. It is suitable for all
framed and some frameless modules. The insertion rail can be fitted with
a snow guard if required.
Our mounting system gives you maximum flexibility. Whatever tiles are
used on the roof, and whatever its shape, we have the perfect insertion
system for every individual customer requirement. Our roof hooks are
available for all kinds of load requirements. They are simple to fit, without
the need for broken tiles or expensive sheet tiles. You can choose between
solid-cast roof hooks, or roof hooks with three adjustment settings that let
you easily compensate for unevenness. The construction is securely
mounted in the cross rail configuration, with rails available both with and
without integrated cable duct. You can also use our online configuration
tool Solar-Planit for quick, simple and fully compliant planning, as well as
for structural analysis according to Eurocode.
The insertion rails are available in bare aluminium and black. Together with
the other discreet components of the mounting system, this lets you create
attractive and uniform module arrays. A standard construction of blackanodised insertion rails and dark modules turns every roof into a designer
object.

Do you want to mount a proven photovoltaic mounting system on a trapezoidal metal roof? Are you looking for high production quality, durable and
corrosion-resistant materials, stability and reliability? Our clamping system
for trapezoidal metal roofs can offer you all these advantages, along with
an attractive cost effectiveness.
The mounting system is attached directly to the trapezoidal panel.
With our many years of experience, we have refined our mounting system
to the tiniest detail – for the safety of your system, high layout flexibility
and simple, quick assembly. The clamping system helps you secure the
modules in both vertical and horizontal format using module clamps. Our
mounting system can fit all module frame heights on the trapezoidal roof
with just a handful of clamped types, which are available in bare aluminium
and black. They are mounted on our short, practical and fully preassembled rails. Pre-sawn and with attached backing and sealing strips made
from high-quality EPDM, the short profiles are easy to handle on site and
on the roof. The rails are always mounted from above using approved thin
sheet screws. These are screwed into the trapezoidal panel without generating metal chips, which can lead to corrosion if left laying around. They
also have the same head as the screws used on the module clamps, meaning you only need one tool.

A DVA N TAG E S
Our East-West II mounting system for flat roofs is perfect for fully exploiting the surface of your roof, allowing you to install almost double the module surface compared to south-facing systems. This means that electricity
is produced more evenly throughout the day. The East-West II mounting
system is a secure and stable system for flat roofs within incline of up to
5°, and is also quick and simple to construct. Based on our East-West I
mounting system, it offers the same high quality that has been proven for
years.
The mounting system is attached to the roof by its own weight, the
smart design and ballast consisting of gravel or heavy stones. The roof
membrane is not penetrated. The improved aerodynamics of our EastWest II elevation means that the system can be fitted with little to no ballast. This makes it well suited for flat roofs with low load-bearing capacity.
We have had the excellent security and stability of our East-West II mounting system scientifically confirmed in a series of wind tunnel tests.
The mounting system consists of only a few components, with the substructure laid in the module grid. The base foot and module support are
clicked in and the modules are clamped to the short side of the frame. The
base rail, which can also be used as a cable duct, has round edges and an
intermediate layer to protect the surface of the roof. The system is also
used on gravel roofs and offers flexibility with additional components such
as ballast trays.
Our range of supports ensures perfect load distribution, even at high
load requirements. The East-West II mounting system can be loaded with
2.4 kN/m² as standard. This increases to up to 4.8 kN/m² if the modules
are clamped on the long side. You can also use our Solar-Planit software
to plan your system quickly and reliably, as well as calculate ballast requirements and expansion joints.

A DVA N TAG E S
Do you want to mount an elevated photovoltaic system on your flat roof
facing south? Then our flat roof mounting system closed II is the right
solution for you. We have had the system put through its paces in a wind
tunnel, where it was tested under changing wind conditions and strong
wind peaks. The result confirms our years of proven quality, and with our
flat roof mounting system, you can be sure that you are getting excellent
safety and stability.
The closed configuration II mounting system is suited for flat roofs with
an incline of up to 5°, and impresses with its quick and simple assembly.
It consists of just a hand a full of individual components and system parts
that can be clicked in, with the modules clamped. The system can be
mounted without penetrating the roof. Heavy stones are usually used as
ballast, although the improved aerodynamics makes it possible for the system to be mounted with little to no ballast. This makes it perfect for your
flat roof. This is possible also thanks to our wind deflector, which is mounted overlapping on the elevation closed II and is securely connected to the
support and rails. This increases the general stability whilst also ensuring
perfect load distribution thanks to its connection to the base trough.
The base trough has wide, round and installation-friendly edges that
never cut in, and which also act as a cable duct that offers sufficient space
for cables and plugs. The closed configuration II flat roof mounting system
can also be used on gravel roofs, with additional components such as ballast trays also available. The mounting system can be loaded with 2.4 kN/m²
as standard, increasing to up to 4.8 kN/m² if the modules are clamped on
the long side. The closed configuration II flat roof mounting system is a
modified version of our proven flat roof mounting system closed configuration I. This means that your photovoltaic project benefits from the many
years of experience of our engineers.

In-roof system
In-roof solution: PV generator and roof covering all in one
I N ST E A D O F T I L E S : T H E I N - R O O F SYST E M
It just looks good. Our in-roof photovoltaic mounting system helps you
create an aesthetic, uniform surface on the roof. The photovoltaic system
replaces the roof cover across either the entire surface or just sections of
it. Easily processed dummy modules and high-quality, optically fitting roof
windows complete the in-roof system, with all components kept black. Our
in-roof mounting system offers high safety, excellent production quality
and durability. It is suitable for every roof and is easy and very quick to
construct, even in comparison to other in-roof systems on the market.
The photovoltaic modules are fitted directly to the roof lathing without
hooks. The specially developed module frames are made in Switzerland,
with the final assembly of the modules and frames performed there too.
Our in-roof system fulfils the same requirements for water tightness as
roof tiles. This has been proven by identical tests by the testing and research institute Sursee. It can be used at pressure loads of up to 5.4 kN/m²,
with higher pressure loads possible if used with an additional support lathing. The modules are mounted horizontally with the frames overlapping.
Sturdy dummy modules enable a closed roof surface and an aesthetically pleasing result, and can be sawn to shape easily using a jigsaw or
circular saw. Snow guard dummy modules also allow the integration of a
snow guard system. The roof windows have been specially developed to
optically match our in-roof system, and are available in a range of sizes and
as double windows. These premium energy-saving windows are made
from wood and glass, and are fitted with a gas pressure spring. Both the
dummy modules and windows can be fitted seamlessly into the module grid.
We offer modules in three different performance classes for our in-roof
mounting system, making them perfect for every requirement. The choice
is yours.

Our facade mounting system lets you use the outer wall of a building
to generate electricity instead of the roof. The photovoltaic system is suspended in front of the facade vertically – separated from the building and
with good rear ventilation. Our facade mounting system is mounted on
solid external walls made from tiles, stone or concrete. It is also mounted
exclusively on cold facades, i.e. walls with no external heat protection.
From industrial buildings to family homes, our mounting system helps you
create modern, visually appealing facades that add extra aesthetic value
to the building. All visible system components are available in bare aluminium and anodised black, and can be combined with modules ranging in
colour from blue to almost pitch black depending on the desired design.
The facade mounting system uses the same durable and corrosionresistant components as our roof-mounted systems, and works using the
same proven insertion technology. The modules are laid with the entire
length of the frame in the rails, keeping them stable, secure and protected.
The insertion rails enable quick and simple module assembly, even in vertical format. Installation is made even easier thanks to the low number of
individual components and preassembled parts. To secure the modules,
we use an approved set of dowels and stainless steel screws, which can be
used universally for a wide range of wall materials.
Our facade mounting system lets you install all common frame modules in both horizontal and vertical format, as well as a wide range of
frameless modules upon request. If you wish, we can expand your facade
photovoltaic system on all sides with perforated panel cladding, which protects the system against birds and small animals whilst ensuring good rear
ventilation.
