looks for volunteers - either students or adults to
assist at our many fundraising events. This year we
need volunteers to assist with the Fantasy Lottery,
at our Golf Tournament, our Gala and other events

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
NIGHT – June 7, 2006
This year the Monsignor Feeney Foundation is
proud to present our annual Scholarship Awards
Night on June 7, 2006 at St. George's Parish Hall at
7 p.m. Over 45 of our system students will receive
scholarships and bursaries to pursue their
academic goals. The Scholarship recipients will
enjoy a presentation from the Foundation Board
members and a reception with their friends and
families. A great ending to a great year!!

THE 7TH ANNUAL HANS JANSSEN MEMORIAL
GOLF TOURNAMENT
Sold out again!!! 7 years in a row!
What an amazing event and what an amazing way to celebrate the memory of our dear friend
Hans Janssen. Hans was one of the founding members of this tournament and was the Recreation Director
for over 25 years at the London District Catholic School Board. We honour his memory through this
tournament that he loved so much. This year the tournament will be held at the Forest City National Golf
Club on Wednesday, July 5, 2006. If anyone would like to donate a prize or cash donation to help support
our breakfast programs please contact Maria Tafaj at the Foundation office 641-6886 ext.1.
The Bishop Sherlock Scholarship Gala
4th Annual Celebration
Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Museum London
We are thrilled to announce our 4th Annual Monsignor Feeney Foundation's Bishop Sherlock Scholarship
Gala taking place this year at Museum London.
As tradition holds our system students will be providing some of the musical stylings again this year.
BUT… this year Shelly Rastin will be the main attraction. Some of you will remember Shelly from her
early years at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Delaware. Shelly has recently won the Country Artist of the
year at the 2006 London Music Awards and Singer Songwriter of the year at the 2006 Jack Richardson
Music Awards. We are so excited about this year’s Gala and hope that you will come and share the
evening with us!
