where it is possible to watch herons, cormorants, egrets, flamingos and other birds. The duration is 2h00
Route 3: Tombolo’s pine forest, Maremma natural Park (it is possible to sight fallow deer, roe deer and
wild boars), Tenuta San Carlo, dunes and beach. The duration is 2h30

ESCURSIONI
MASSA MARITTIMA / PARCO DELLE BIANCANE
The center of Massa Marittima is located on one of the southern foothills
Metalliferous Hills, overlooking the left bank of the river Pecora, river that has
its source in the northeastern part of the territory, south-west of the town of
Niccioleta.
The natural park of “Le Biancane” is a natural area close to the center of
Monterotondo Marittimo where Biancane features are located. They represent
one of the most important sites where geothermal features strongly the
landscape near the border between the provinces of Pisa and Grosseto. It has
in fact the presence of different types of geothermal manifestations as steam
leaking from the ground and fumaroles.
IL GIARDINO DEI TAROCCHI - CAPALBIO (GR)
The Tarot Garden is an artistic park located in Garavicchio, near Pescia
Fiorentina, communal village of Capalbio (GR) in Tuscany, conceived by the
French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle, populated by statues inspired
by the figure of the major arcana of the Tarot.
BARATTI POPULONIA / PARCO DI SAN SILVESTRO
The archaeological park of Baratti and Populonia is located in the municipality
of Piombino (LI) and includes about 80 hectares between the slopes of the
promontory of Piombino and the coast on the Gulf of Baratti. It is part of the
Parks of the Val di Cornia, it was opened in 1998 to make it accessible to
visiting some archaeological areas, and the new remains found in archaeological
excavations in area since 1996.
The park includes several areas of the ancient Etruscan city of Populonia, the
necropolis of “San Cerbone”, “Casone The Grotto” and quarries calcarenite.
Inside the park, an experimental archeology laboratory is inserted.
The tour routes in San Silvestro Park are distribuited between museums,
galleries mining, a medieval village of miners and smelters founded about one
thousand years ago, and interesting historical, archaeological, geological and
natural paths with visit by train in mining gallery of the “valle del temperino”.
AMIATA LA MAGIA DELLA MONTAGNA / SATURNIA
Mount Amiata, an unusual and precious corner of Tuscany. Included in
provinces of Grosseto and Siena, dominates from its 1738 meters the
surrounding valleys (val d’Orcia, val di Paglia), the superb plain of Maremma,
the sweet and charming Senese hills and the green depression of Lake
Bolsena. Hiking in the village of Santa Fiora where you can visit the fishpond,
the historical center of the village and the aqueduct.
The sulphurous thermal water of Saturnia emerges from the source to
temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and, after a few hundred meters in free
sliding, is thrown into a series of small waterfalls and then in some very
characteristics limestone pools.
PITIGLIANO, SORANO E SOVANA
Full day excursion by bus with multilingual guide for all duration of the trip and
local guide for tours. Arriving in Pitigliano. Visit of the medieval village, ancient
Jewish Ghetto with its synagogue. Continue to Sorano and free time for lunch.
In the afternoon visit to the town of Sovana with its unchanged medieval face
inside which are well preserved interesting historical and architectural relics.
Continue for necropolis of Sovana: the cult of the dead and the Etruscan
funerary art.
FIRENZE... CULLA DEL RINASCIMENTO
Daily bus tour with multilingual guide for all the duration of the trip and
local guide for sightseeing. A dip in the art, culture and beauty of the city
of Michelangelo, Leonardo and Dante from San Lorenzo al Ponte Vecchio,
passing the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Campanile di Giotto, Piazza della
Signoria, the Ufficy gallery, Republic Square, and more. Free time for lunch,
shopping and individual visits to museums in the afternoon.
ROMA... LA CITTÀ ETERNA
Full day excursion by bus with multilingual guide for the duration of the trip
and local guide for sightseeing. Check in historic center, panoramic tour by
bus and guided tour to the most important monuments of Rome: St. Peter’s
and the Vatican, Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Spanish
Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, Circus Massimo, Roman Forum, Arch of
Constantine and Colosseum. Free time for lunch and shopping.
N.B.: For the visit of St. Peter’s Basilica, it is recommended to wear an
appropriate clothing; skirts, shorts and sleeveless tops are not allowed.
MONTEPULCIANO - PIENZA – MONTALCINO
Itinerary in the Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana until Siena to admire art cities
rich in history and tradition.
Montepulciano is a town full of charm from the Renaissance and the Middle
Ages. Pienza as well as been the city of Pope Pius II and is the most renowned
and greater artistic importance of the Val d’Orcia.
Montalcino is famous for the production of Brunello wine.
SIENA - SAN GIMIGNANO
Siena is universally known for its artistic heritage and for the substantial
stylistic unity of its medieval street furniture, as well as for its
famous Palio; the old town was declared a UNESCO heritage Site in 1995.
San Gimignano is famous for the characteristic architecture and the medieval
old town is a UNESCO World Heritage humanity. The site is mostly intact in
appearance and is one of the best examples in Europe municipal age urban
organization.
