We offer Kayak tours with one or two seats, with the possibility of increasing to three if
it is occupied by a child accompanied by adults. A simple and fun activity for everyone. We
have routes on the cliffs of Nerja-Maro, an environment of spectacular beauty and the
calm waters of the Embalse de la Viñuela, more geared towards families with children,
both in natural environments of great ecological value.

“THE EMERALD LAKE” (LA VIÑUELA – PERIANA)
Come with us to glide with your friends and family on the placid surface of the lake at any
time of the year. In its colour-changing waters, located in a setting of great beauty, you
can enjoy unforgettable moments without the hassle that the sea has on occasion for this
sport. The Viñuela Lake is the ideal place for the practice of kayaking.

“BLUE SUMMER” (NERJA)
One of the most attractive and unforgettable activities in summer is this route. The route
starts in the famous Maro beach and continues to Burriana beach. The route, of
extraordinary beauty, sails between huge blocks of stone fallen that form the cliffs in a
lovely tour where the waterfalls spill their waters by vertical walls of exuberant
vegetation. Halfway we will do a break in a small beach to regain strenght.

“ROUTE OF PIRATES”
We will set off from Maro beach, we continue to the east, getting into the Cerro-Gordo
Marine Protected Natural Park, in whose seabeds and between seagrass meadows lies the
wreck of the 28 ships of the Spanish Armada of 1.562 that went to fight against the
Turks. The wild beauty of the rocky landscape and the clarity of its water form a
fascinating tour of beauty. Before the return we will stop to rest in one of the beautiful
and calm beaches of our coast.

“ALMANCHARES CANYON” (CANILLAS DE ACEITUNO)
Our own company vehicles will take us to the starting point where we will follow our
planned route from “Las Rahije”, the recreational area on the road between Canillas and
Sedella. From here, up a steep slope, we will find the path that will take us from Canillas
de Aceituno to the ravine. This stony ravine, with an important uneven piece of land,
offers more than ten abseiling points with some dips and slides. This exciting and
unforgettable experience will remain with you forever.

CANYONING
“RÍO VERDE CANYON” (OTÍVAR)

“BARRANCO MORENO” (CÓMPETA)
The most impressive waterfall in the Natural Park is found in Cómpeta, the Barranco
Moreno, with its 17 meters is just spectacular, during the tour will enjoy rappelling its
other waterfalls and sliding down its slides.
It is the only canyon where we can arrive at the starting point of the activity in our
vehicles being collected at the finish point of the old Electric Factory in Cómpeta. Come
with us and enjoy this incredible activity in a natural environment.

CAVING
“WATER CAVE” (CANILLAS DE ALBAIDA)
After walking thirty minutes we will get to the cave via a serpentine path coming up on our
own company cars from the vicinity of the “Fábrica de la Luz” in Canillas de Albaida. Once
we provide you with the adventure equipment, we will enter the cavity. This cavity
combines narrow spaces with more ample ones and a surprise or two. We will finish the
route in a lake where, after an explanation about the genesis of the caves, we will be able
to immortalize the moment by taking a unique picture of us.

Come and enjoy cycling in the Axarquía on our fleet of mountain bikes. We find the most
charming places in the area for healthy exercise that is suitable for everyone, enjoying a

“THE SOUND OF WATER” (CANILLAS DE ALBAIDA – SALARES)
The tour begins in Puerto Blanquillo at a height of 1.200 m and runs downwards through
lanes along 20 km. It crosses slate terrains to the village of Salares where we will reach an
elevation of 550 m. This route, full of gullies of abundant water, offers us a green
carpeted landscape as a result of humidity, from where we can enjoy this fresh and
wonderful place and enjoy the spectacle of wide open spaces, the sound of water and the
bright shades of the green tree species. We finish our tour driving down through the eyecatching narrow Moorish streets of Salares.

MOUNTAIN BIKING
“THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN” (CÓMPETA)
We will pedal along the track which encircles the head of the Patamalara river, in a profile
that combines flat paths with ascents which do not require much effort and descents
which allow us to enjoy the pleasure of cycling. On our route we will cross the “Juan Rojo”
gully, the “Las Majadillas” stream and the “Los Zarzalillos” stream and we will end up at the
“El Mirlo” stream which brings together the crystalline waters of the Almijara mountain
range.

MOUNTAIN BIKING
“ROUTE OF LIGHT” (CÓMPETA)
We start the bike tour in a zone known as “Rancho Pulido”, at 3 km from Cómpeta, where
we take a track in direction of the old “Fábrica de la Luz”. We cross the clear waters of
the river “Patamalara” that will help to refresh us. We continue with a gentle climb along
the left-hand side of the valley, which will take us to the lost village “El Acebuchal”.
There, the white silence of its streets dazzles the visitors of the cities, accustomed to
the noise of the urban environment. After a visit to the village, we will return by the same
track until the vehicles.

We believe that the easiest way to enjoy the incredible landscapes in this area is to take
you out in our Jeep Commander, which is a 4X4 vehicle with very high performance, making
the drive very comfortable along the track in the surrounding mountains, where you can
enjoy the beauty of these territories and rugged peaks which have been carved by erosion
over time. This adventure is recommended for all ages and any physical condition.
4X4 ROUTES
“THE LOST VILLAGE” (CÓMPETA)
We offer you a 4x4 drive in one of our company Jeeps. The tour takes approximately 2
hours and starts in Cómpeta. It crosses the Natural Park including a visit to the old
"Fábrica de la Luz", an inspiring place completely rebuilt nowadays that has been turned
into a space of leisure looming up in the midst of nature. We will also visit El Acebuchal, a
mysterious hamlet belonging to the village of Cómpeta which was abandoned in 1949 and
then rebuilt between 1998 and 2005, maintaining its traditional Axarquian architecture.

“DISCOVERING THE NATURAL PARK” (CÓMPETA)
This trip is very attractive for discover our Natural Park. Without having to cover long
distances, due to the altitude reached during the tour, 1100 m, give you amazing panoramic
views of the “Tejeda & Almijara” mountains. We visit the recreational area “Fábrica de la
Luz”, next to the Turvilla River.
Along the way, our guides tell you about the plants and animals that live in the Natural
Park.

“MOUNTAINS OF LIBERTY” (CÓMPETA)
This tour starts in Cómpeta, from where we go until “Rancho Pulido”, one of the gates to
the Natural Park. Just a few kilometres we arrive to the Patamalara river, after a brief
stop, we continue our trip through the Natural Park and we visit the lost village “El
Acebuchal”, a lovely little village. “Collado de Paez-Blanca”, “Barranco del Mármol” and the
base of “El Cisne” mountain, next to the Higueron river, are some of the most interesting
points that we will find in that tour.

“THE HEARTH OF THE ALMIJARA” (CÓMPETA)
This route starts in Cómpeta and extends to the “Fábrica de la Luz” by way of the Natural
Park. After only 4 km. we will find the first point of interest “El Puerto del Collado”, with
an altitude of 908 m. From here, we can witness and enjoy the huge size and rich beauty of
the Almijara mountains together with some of its most important and prominent peaks “El
Lucero, “El Cisne”, etc. We will carry on to the Páez Blanca hill after 17.6 km, visiting the
Cebollero inn and going on to the mysterious hamlet of “El Acebuchal”. On the last leg of
our journey we will visit the old “Fábrica de la Luz” which supplied Cómpeta with electricity
in the old times.

4X4 TOUR
“AT THE GATES OF GRANADA” (CANILLAS DE ALBAIDA)
We start in Cómpeta, driving over the network of tracks on the southern slope of Sierra
Tejeda. As far as we drive up, we will enjoy a stunning mirador overlooking the blue and
calm Mediterranean Sea. We will cross the impressive Borriqueros fountain, near 1000 m
of altitude. Then, at 1195 m, “Puerto Blanquillo”, which lives up to its name. Later we will
reach the source of the “Turvilla” river rising and flowing just before the area known as
Nevazo. After 5 km driving, we will reach an altitude of 1600 m in the place where the
waters flow. We will be able to gaze at the province of Granada, look at the foothills of
Sierra Nevada and La Maroma, discern a magnificent stretch of silver Malaga coastline
and, often, observe a unique sight: the Atlas Mountains looming up in the mists of time.

4X4 TOUR
THE ROUTE OF “IBN BATTUTA” (ALCAUCÍN – VENTAS - PERIANA)
We will set out from the village of Alcaucín following in the direction of the “Miguel
Alvarez panoramic viewpoint” which is situated in the ravine that sculpts the Alcazar
stream. From here, we will ascend to the North–Eastern side of the Tejeda mountain range
passing by the “Pedro Aguilar” panoramic viewpoint that offers the travelers a magnificent
and breathtaking view. After this, we will reach the leisure zone of Alcauca getting to the
fertile plains of Alcaiceria. On the way back, we will follow the steps of the old route that
operated the railway between Málaga and Zafarraya. Today, we find it completely
dismantled.

4X4 TOUR
“BEHIND THE SUN” (CÓMPETA – FORNES - JÁTAR)
We will start in Cómpeta and after reaching “Puerto Blanquillo”at an elevation of 1200 m,
we will continue our ascent up the south mountainside of the Sierra Tejeda in a zigzag with
unforgettable views of the south. From here we will start our descent towards the marble
quarry of “Fuente Barrena”, where the huge blocks of white stone show us their impressive
stone faces which are surprisingly smooth, and abandoned in the loneliness of the mountain
range. We will continue in the direction of the old factory, “La Resinera”. Not many years
ago resin was taken to this factory, which was extracted from the pine trees to obtain
rosin and turpentine. Nowadays this factory is used as a charming recreation zone.

“INNS AND WATER” (CÓMPETA)
We will get to the starting point in the company vehicles. This site is the old “Maria
Guerrero country inn”, and this route plan takes you along the old and legendary donkey
track towards Granada, going past the ruins of “Los Pradillos” and the demolished
“Cándido” country inns. We will cross the “Las Flores” pass, looking for the “Las Majadillas”
stream and we will carry on to the abandoned “Cortijo del Daire” to discover the crystalclear waters of the streams of “Zarzalillos” and “El Mirlo”. After a short break, we will go
back to the waterfall of the “Barranco de Juan Rojo”, where the vehicles will be waiting to
take us back to Cómpeta.

“RÍO CHILLAR” (NERJA)
This route offers us the unforgettable experience of walking along a short but intense
river, accompanied by the constant music of its waters. After two hours walking, we will
visit the impressive places where the waters are squeezed up to heights of 20 m and
lengths of 200 m heading in the direction of the waterfalls. As usual, our company cars will
be waiting for us to go back to the starting point.

THE PEAK OF “EL LUCERO” (CÓMPETA)
The route starts in “Puerto Blanquillo”. We will reach this site with our own specialized
vehicles. Once we are there, we will set out and head for the “Fuente Barrena” quarry. On
our way, we will pass through the Cómpeta mountain pass. From here, a track will take us to
the path which, taking us through “El Coladero de los Mosquitos”, will allow us to reach the
spectacular summit at 1779 m. This route will remind you of high-altitude mountaineering.

“2065 - LA MAROMA” (CANILLAS DE ALBAIDA – SEDELLA)
Route up to the mythical peak of the Maroma, the highest point of the Sierra Tejeda from
the flatlands of Sedella, passing through an old path which, a century ago, was used for
the now extinct ice industry. We will follow a circular route, passing by the Tacita de Plata
fountain to reach the mountaintop, where, on a clear day, you can see the African Coast.
On the way back we will pass by the “Puerto de las Loberas” until we reach the flatlands of
Sedella.

“ASCENT TO THE PEAK OF THE SKY” (NERJA)
This route begins at the Nerja Caves. After about 30 minutes we arrive at a place known
as "Cortijo la Civila" around 800 meters above sea level. From this point we start to walk
through a zigzagging path until we reach the emblematic peak "of the sky" at 1508 m this
peak offers us spectacular panoramic views of the blue Mediterranean sea. This view is
completed by the white trail left behind the boats and in the background the high
mountains of Africa we can see on clear winter afternoons.

“BETWEEN TWO VILLAGES” (CÓMPETA - CANILLAS DE ALBAIDA)
We begin our trip in the center of Cómpeta. Before leaving the village, we will make a stop
at the “San Antón” Hermitage (S.XVI). Near here start a little path, the old way to
Canillas de Albaida (2 km). We will arrive to Canillas de Albaida and we will make another
stop at the “Santa Ana” Hermitage to contemplate the Tejeda Mountains. From this point,
we will go up until the area called “el Mosquín” where we will be surprised by beautiful
views of the Mediterranean coastline. At the end of this tour, we are at the top of
Cómpeta, at 800 metres above sea level.

“CERRO ATALAYA” (CÓMPETA-CANILLAS DE ALBAIDA)
The "Cerro Atalaya" in Cómpeta, with its 1.257 m, its regarded by Salamandra as one of
the main view points of the Natural Park. Will travel through a narrow but very pleasant to
walk path, the way to the summit of "Cerro Atalaya". The small size of its summit and the
360 degrees panoramic views allow us to see the park from a bird’s eye.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Salamandra Multi-aventura is the brand with which Promociones Gaona&Gordillo markets its services. Its
CIF number is B-92421726, inscribed in the Registry of Businesses of Tourist Services of the Council of
Tourism and Sport. Its Active Tourism business number is Nº AT/MA/00091.
In cases when, on the day of the activity, the guides decide to postpone it, due to weather conditions or any
other problems the organization cannot control, a new date will be established, suggested by the company,
giving participants the option of changing the activity for another or getting back 80% of their money.
Obligations of the Participant
- The participants that take on any of the services that Salamandra Multi-aventura offers are conscious
that they are going to carry out an active tourism activity or adventure sport, assuming the risks that
activity may present and the possibility of suffering a fortuitous accident in a natural environment.
- The participants must follow the instructions given by the guides accompanying the group, as they are
responsible for the direction of the group.
- If a participant, or various participants, decide voluntarily to not pay attention to the guides' indications,
neither the guides nor Salamandra Multi-aventura will be held responsible for what happens to them.
- The participants are obliged to let Salamandra Multi-aventura know if they suffer from any sort of illness
or disability which may alter the way the activity normally functions.
- The guides will have the legal authority to deny participation to any participants who do not have the
adequate equipment or who lack the physical ability for the effort they must put in. They will not get their
money back.
- The participation of people who are underage will always be conditioned by their height, which cannot be
under 1.5m.
- The participants who are underage must always be accompanied by an adult (mother, father, or tutor) who
must sign a document giving authorization for the underage person to participate in the activity.
Booking and Payment
-The participants will carry out their bookings over the telephone or via our webpage: www.malagaaventura.com, which will ask them certain necessary information to be able to identify the participants and
include them in different insurance policies to which we have subscribed.
-The bookings have a validity of 72 hours. If within this period the participant hasn't paid 20% of the cost
the booking will be cancelled and the places will be free again. All the activities must be paid for beforehand.
-The bookings may be paid for via a bank transfer or at our office.
