The concrete panel walls are machine vibrated
and reinforced with steel bars for maximum
strength. During erection, the joints are sealed
with Arbomast natural colour mastic for
rnaximum weather resistance. The exterior is
finished in Derbyshire Aggregate's Multi-spar to
give an attractive finish to complement any
house and garden.
The reliability of components has led us to specifu doors only from reputable
manufacturers. Doors from the Apex range feature 3 point locking five point
security systems and are fitted as standard in a primed, ready to paint finish.
They can be supplied in a low-maintenance, weather white plastic coated finish
at extra cost and come with a manufacturers 2 year guarantee.

Our reputatiory
A standard, no extra cost option is the timber
door. These are side hinged, can be supplied
glazed or fully boarded, manufactured from
Swedish Redwood. This same timber is used on
all the wood features treated with a high quality
solvent based Cuprinol stain which will protect
against water absorption, surface mould and blue
stain. This should be coated with varnish or paint
without the need to apply a base coat.

feature retractable up and over doors.
An increasingly popular option is the fully galvanised Normstahl door. These feature
2 point locking with four point security and are available in plastic coated brown or
white. This unique retracting up and over door is maintenance free and comes with
a ten year manufacturers guarantee.

Normstahl doors. Personal doors are available up to 4' wide
including frame for ease of access.
Where a pent roof double garage is requested, either a
clear open span or a centre dividing u'all can be
specified. With the clear span option the roof is
supported by a steel girder on girder legs. ln the case of
the centre wall, 3" (75mm) should be added to the base
width. Either choice is available at no extra cost.

Concrete bases are not included in the cost of your garage. These
should be laid at least one week before the garage is erected. lt
should be absolutely flat and square and not sloping at the front.
Allow at least 3" (75mm) extra on the width and 5" (150mm) on
the length. Ensure flatness of the base with a large spirit level
during laying. Please note that when specifying your garage the
internal measurements are 5" (125mrn) less ihan external.

Usually the most straightfonruard part. You know how
much space you have. You know what your budget is'
You've visited the sites of your local Nucrete agents and
probably picked their brains. That's what you're meant to
do. The decision on the type of door, whether to have a
personal door and even the position of the window have
been carefully thought out. You've possibly seen many
garages that look just the same as ours, but whilst we at
Nucrete are flattered, we would warn potential customers
to check the quality of all components. Nucrete garages
and sheds carry a two year comprehensive guarantee on
every component.
lf you need assistance with planning and building
regulations our agents will give you their advice and even
help with the Local Authority application.

PREPARING THE BASE

All concrete garages require a concrete base to a suitable thickness' We
recommend that this concrete should be laid at least one week prior to
erection of the garage. We cannot over emphasise that the base should be
made FIAI and ABSOLUTELYLEVEL this must be checked with a large spirit
level. When determining the minimum size of the base required you should
take our leaflet sizes which are external and add six inches (150mm) to the
length and three inches 05mm) to the width. When you have positioned
the side and the end shuttering you should then check that the dimensions
taken across the opposite corners are equal, this ensures that the base is
square. A suitable concrete mix is 1 part cement, 2 parts sand and 4 parts
gravel. Your local ready-mix concrete firm will tell you the amount required
if you give them the size of the base you are intending to lay down.
It is strongly recommended that after erection of the garage, before any
vehicle is driven into the garage, that the door threshold is protected with a
fillet of cement both INSIDE and OUTSIDE and also the bottom of the
garage walls and the base junction be sealed with a sand and cement fillet
INSIDE ONLY to prevent rain water entering.
A stronger bond will be achieved if Unibond Adhesive or similar is
incoporated in the mixing water at the rate of 1 part Unibond to 5 parb water
etemal length + 6' (150mm)
Delivery and erection is free. lt is your responsibility to
ensure clear access to the site, that the base is prepared
and safe to work. Our construction team can then work
efficiently and speedily to erect your garage.
