Oct., 1958. Studying electronics, he was a Maintenance
Supervisor for Budd Co. in Detroit, MI. Now retired, he and
Lela Mae have two children.
Col. Allen served as Commander of the 6912th Radio Squadron
Mobile in 1955-58. Retired from the USAF. He and Betty
have two children. Col. Allen died in February, 2001.

1956 in Landsberg and Hof. He spent 23.5 years in the AF
working in TT, Crypto, Autovon SW Ctr., and MOB. He
then spent 15 years in Apartment Complex Management

Gilbert arrived in Wiesbaden in May, 1956. He was an analyst
without trick designation. After returning in April, 1959, he
was a brick and block contractor and volunteer fireman in
Sumner Co., TN. He is now retired, and he and present wife
Deborah have 5 children.
John was a native son of Hungarian parents and trained to be a
Hungarian Linguist. He was cross trained in Russian.
Donald arrived in Bingen in Jan. 1956 and later was transferred
to Landsberg and Landshut. He did administrative work in the
Orderly Room. After his B.A. at Howard Payne Univ., he was a
bank examiner in six Northwest states. Now retired, he and
Joanne have four children.
Dick served in the Personnel Division from April, 1953 until
Jan. 1955. After returning home, he received a B.A. from the
Univ. of Colorado and served as an administrator in Los
Angeles. He and his wife, Jerry, are now retired.
Bill was a CW Op. on A Trick from Mar., 1957, until Mar.,
1960 in Bingen and Sembach. He had a career in Printing
and Computer Graphics, working for Donnelly Printing for
17 years. He is retired, widowed with one daughter.
George arrived in Bingen in Aug., 1956 and was
transferred to Camp Piere in Wiesbaden as Voice and CW
Radio Operator. The Operation was redesignated 6910th
in 1957. He returned in 1959, received his B.S. from the U
of Maryland, worked for Bendix/Honeywell Corp. on
NASA Apollo and Hubbell Projects in Spain, Houston,
and CA for 29 years and then with Lockheed Martin for 15
years.

have two children.
Gerald arrived in Landsberg March, 1954 and returned home in
August, 1955. He served in D section. He was a manager in
propane gas companies in Minn. and Wis. Now retired, he and
Donna have four children.

A.J. was a Romanian linguist in Landsberg, Bingen, Landshut
and Ankara from Sept. 1955 until Jan., 1957. He graduated
from LSU in Electrical Engineering and worked for Bell
South in Birmingham, AL. Now retired, he and Ginny have
two children.
Jud was a linguist and Trick Chief on A Trick in Landsberg from Sept., 1953 to
Jan. 1955. After his military service, he was a Cryptologist for NSA for 30 years.
He is married to Mary Lou and retired.

from Jan., 1957 until Jan., 1960. He graduated from Ga.
Tech. (Atlanta); U of Ariz. (Tucson); Harvard U.
(Cambridge, MA) with a Ph.D. in Geology and was a
Petroleum Exploration Geologist with Gulf Oil Co. He is
married to Lyne and is still working.
Warren arrived in Landsberg in June, 1954. He served on
different tricks as a Rumanian Op before rotating home in
August, 1956. He has a B.A. in Economics from Penn
State and worked as a Budget Analyst at National
Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He and Emmie have
two children.
Tom arrived in Bingen in Aug. 1955 as an Albanian Linguist
outside of the reception range, so he became a Language
Analyst until Oct., 1957. He received degrees at the
University of Texas and Church Divinity School of the
Pacific becoming an Episcopal Priest and Navy Chaplain,
spending 30 years in the military, and retiring as
Commander. He his married to Joan.

Tulane U; and taught German at U of Arizona, Tucson.

interpretation, translation, and consultation services. He

Ken arrived in Bingen in Dec. 1955 and served as a CW
Op on B & D Tricks. He returned stateside in Dec. 1958
and became a Senior Research Analyst Supervisor at NSA
in Ft. Meade, MD. Retired after 30 years, he and Peggy

Jack arrived in Bingen and Landshut in July, 1956 and
served as a Romanian Linguist until July, 1959. He spent
25 years in the Navy and Air Force retiring in July, 1975.
He also was a General Investigator for the Treasury Dept.
for 10 years. Jack & Millie have five children. Millie
died in 2007.
Jim was a CW Op. and Analyst on B Trick in Bingen
while also spending time in Sembach and Darmstadt from
Sept. 1956 until Sept. 1959. He was a Radio Operator
four years with Aeronautical Radio, Inc., and then he
became a professional musician playing the bass, violin,
trombone and conducting. He retired from the New York
Philharmonic but is still a musician of more than 37 years.
He married Elizabeth Werner in Bingen.
“Cannon” arrived in Landsberg in Nov., 1952, and found
his clearance delayed, so he requested an AFSC change to
AP and served until July, 1955. After an A.A. degree, he
owned and managed several businesses before becoming a
Corrections Officer for 23 years. He is married to
Harriette.
Stan worked in Supply in Bingen and Camp Pieri from
early 1957 until Nov. 1959. He met Kathi in Rudesheim
and married her in Wiesbaden. He retired from the AF in
1972 and then worked 19 years for GTE earning degrees
in Human Resources and Sociology. He and Kathi have
three children. Stan died in July, 2010.
Rog was an Analyst from April, 1951 to Aug., 1952 in
Landsberg. He attended Cornell Univ., studying
Mechanical Engineering and worked for IBM in
engineering and design for over 36 years. Geri, the
mother of his eight children died in 1984, and he is legally
separated from his second wife.
Joe served as a CW Op on B Trick in Landsberg from
Jan. 1953 until Jan. 1956. He attended Brooklyn College
and RCA Technical Institute. He retired from
commercial broadcasting in both radio and TV in 1994.
He’s been married for over 30 years, and his uniform still
fits him.

Casey arrived in Landsberg in March, 1954 and left July, 1956.
He was a Personnel Specialist. He attended Wayne State Univ.
in Detroit for one year, worked as a sports reporter with
several black daily papers and retired from the Chicago
Tribune. He and Barbara have four children (one deceased) .
John served as a CW Op on A Trick from 1952-1954. He
became a country music recording artist in 1954 and gained
considerable fame during the next 45 years. Cash lived in
Hendersonville with his wife, June Carter Cash. He has four
daughters and a son. John died in 2003 after a long illness.

Gene was a Russian linguist on C Trick from Aug., 1956 until
Aug., 1959. Receiving degrees from Kansas Univ. and Geo.
Washington Univ. in Computer Science, ROTC, and MBA,
he served a career in the US Army retiring in 1981 as Lt. Col.
Serving in Germany, Viet Nam,Washington, DC and with
Ford Aerospace and Wang Laboratories. He and Karen have
two children.
Bill was an Analyst in Berlin and Darmstadt from Sept., 1963
until Oct. 1965. After 13 years in the AF, he received a
Disability Retirement. Receiving a B.S. in History
Education, he became a high school teacher and worked as a
Veteran’s Representative. He is married to Connie.

the AF, and then received a degree in Biblical Studies and
served as a missionary. He and Marie Elizabeth have 7
children and 16 grandchildren. He is widowed and retired.
Fox married Annella in July, 2009.
Ron arrived in Bremerhaven in early 1953 and served as a
linguist in Vienna and Bingen until Jan., 1956. He graduated
from Roosevelt U in Chicago before the AF, and he had a
career as newspaper reporter and editor in Chicago, Kansas
City, St. Louis and New York. He and Lynn have one child.

an Associate degree from Glendale CC. Now retired from
doing computer maintenance, logistics, and being controller
for 27 years in Phoenix, he and Sylvia have four children.
Lou served as a CW Op on B Trick from Oct., 1952 until

Paul was a linguist on C Trick from Dec., 1954 until Aug.,
1955. He attended grad school at the Univ. of Minnesota
and was a Social Worker in MN, WI, and NM. He is
married to his second wife, Lois, and has four children.
Clem arrived in Landsberg in March, 1954 and transferred
to 34th RSM in Turkey in June, 1954. He was a linguist
there until June, 1956. He received a degree in Mechanical
Engineering from Tennessee Tech and worked for Arnold
Engineering Development Center in Tullahoma, TN. Now
retired, he and Lyn have two children.
Harold worked in Radio Maintenance from December
1953 to December 1955 and spent Detachment Duty in
Vienna and Hof. He worked in Alaska, CA, and TX in
communications maintenance, engineering, and sales. He
and Jeri have two daughters.
Rich was a linguist in Landsberg and Bingen from Nov.,
1954 until Jun. 1957 on B Trick. He was a ACFT S/M
worker at Pemco Aeroplex in Birmingham, AL. Still
working as a Crib Tool Attendant, he is married to
Margaret and has two children.

1956 until Dec., 1958. After receiving his Master’s
degree from Univ. of Nebraska, he was a teacher,
coach, and Principal in Moville, IA. Now retired, he
and Julie have been married for five years. He has
three children.
Lee served in Landsberg as Technical Support from May, 1951, until Aug.,
1953. He obtained an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering and
worked 43 years for Boeing and various consulting firms. He is now retired
