The project
Lighting
Neri took part in the project by supplying lighting and street
furniture products. The Castore system with ‘Light 600’
illuminates all the streets of the shopping centre.
Neri ha partecipato alla sua realizzazione con diversi prodotti
sia di illuminazione che di arredo. Il sistema Castore con Light
600 illumina tutte le strade del centro.
Following the designers request, the Castore system posts
were fitted with a double bracket on which flower pots were
hung. This delightfully rich decoration enhances the entire
urban fabric and has been fitted with an automatic watering
system that simplifies daily maintenance, so important in
a mall, having to look well kept every single day. Via the post
and its arms a continuous irrigation system transforms
the lamp post into a water distributor.
Su richiesta dei progettisti, i pali del sistema Castore sono
stati integrati con una duplice mensola alla quale vengono
appesi vasi con fiori. Questo addobbo particolarmente ricco
e valorizzante per l’intero tessuto «urbano» è stato dotato
di un sistema di annaffiatura automatica che facilita
la manutenzione giornaliera, importantissima in un centro
commerciale, sempre costantemente curato: attraverso
il palo e i suoi bracci un sistema di irrigazione continuo
trasforma il palo della luce in un distributore d’acqua.
At night the atmosphere is quite lovely with the street lights
and illuminated fountains of the central square.
Di notte l’atmosfera è davvero suggestiva con le luci
dei lampioni e le fontane illuminate della piazza centrale.
The quality of the buildings, services, shops and the
restrictions on traffic make Station park a meeting point
and a delightful urban space. Neri’s street lights with
the design and the quality of the materials used enhance
the atmosphere and maximize comfort.
La qualità delle costruzioni, dei servizi, dei negozi
e la circolazione limitata delle auto, rendono Station
park un luogo di incontro e uno spazio urbano
gradevolissimo. I lampioni di Neri con il loro design
e la qualità del loromateriale ne arricchiscono il valore
elevando ulteriormente il comfort.

Wall brackets
For the illumination of the entrances of the mall buildings
the designers chose a different bracket each time, creating
a variety of solutions that enliven and enhance the streets
within the center.
I progettisti per l’illuminazione degli ingressi dei vari edifici
del centro commerciale hanno scelto tipologie ogni volta
diverse di mensole, creando una varietà di soluzioni
che animano e arricchiscono le vie interne del centro.

Bins
Street furniture is an important component of the project.
The broad sidewalks and the squares are in continuous use
by mall visitors who need litter bins, Layia series bins in fact,
which are continuously serviced, giving the center a pleasing
well kept look.
L’arredo urbano rappresenta una componente importante
del progetto; gli ampi marciapiedi o le piazze sono percorsi
continuamente dai visitatori del centro commerciale che
necessitano di cestini per i rifiuti, cestini della serie Layia,
che vengono costantemente manutentati conferendo al centro
un aspetto estremamente curato e gradevole.

Bollards
Layia bollards were used for directing traffic and defining
no-go areas for cars.
Sono stati utilizzati anche i dissuasori Layia per orientare
il traffico e delimitare spazi in cui le auto non hanno accesso.

Clock
A Layia series clock has been placed in the central square.
Nella piazza centrale è stato collocato anche un orologio
della serie Layia.

Benches
The entire area of the mall has been equipped with dozens
of benches to allow visitors to rest and to make this urban
space as comfortable as possible.
L’intera superficie del centro commerciale è stata infine
attrezzata con decine di panchine per facilitare la sosta
dei visitatori e rendere il più confortevole possibile questo
spazio urbano.

Cycle racks
People often cycle to the mall, which is why Neri was
requested to create a special bicycle rack, with the rack
itself somewhat higher compared to the standard Neri
system and corresponding more to the American model.
Spesso al centro commerciale ci si reca in bicicletta,
ragione per la quale è stato richiesto a Neri di realizzare
un apposito portabici, con la rastrelliera molto rialzata
rispetto al sistema standard di Neri e rispondente
maggiormente al modello americano.

Bus shelter and kiosk
Finally a Scylla series bus shelter and a small kiosk
at the entrance of the mall facilitate valet parking
for many visitors to the center.
Infine una pensilina della serie Scilla e un chioschetto
rappresentano, all’ingresso del centro commerciale,
il “valet parking” per molti frequentatori del centro.
