Our Church Softball season is over and we
would like to thank everyone who came to
watch and support us throughout the season.
We praise God for the ability He has given
us to play this game and enjoy competition
against our fellow brothers in Christ.
We made a trip to Bright, IN at the end of
the season to play in a Christian Church/
Church of Christ tournament. This picture was
taken after one of the games at the tourney.
The gentleman in the middle of this picture is
brother to the founder of the tournament
(Lloyd, the founder, passed away a few years
ago, and Bright Christian Church has continued
the tournament in his honor).

Small Groups Ministry, known at CrossRoads as Road Groups, is one of the best ways
for people within the congregation to share life together. And, as we talked about last
Wednesday night, we have an example from the early church in Acts 2 that spent time
actively involved in one another's lives. It seems as though being a follower of Jesus Christ
meant more than we live out today. As we read Acts 2, we see that a Christ follower's life
completely changed when they placed their faith in Jesus and accepted Him as both
their Lord and Savior.
I watched a video of Jase & Missy Robertson from Duck Dynasty a few days ago. It
was a radio interview with a radio station called K-Love. In the video Jase & Missy are
speaking on the topic of abstinence before marriage. However, they share something
that applies far beyond this topic. Jase says, "We (Missy & I) basically had a Godly
agreement, that we would help each other get to heaven."
This agreement is what the early church was doing as they shared life together. They
were studying together, taking care of one another's needs and praying together. And
now, this same idea, "help each other get to heaven," is exactly what we should be
striving for in our relationships. We need to be doing our part within the congregation we
are a part of, within the congregation we call our Church Family.
My prayer today is that we view our Road
Groups as an intentional opportunity for us to help
one another in this mission and that we see the
importance of our relationship with Christ far
beyond a merely personal issue.
