FACTS & TIPS
FACTS & TIPS
HIGH PROTEIN DOG FOOD DIET
GOOD OR BAD?
Written by: Bully Girl Magazine, LLC
A
lot of people always wonder if their bully breed
dog would benefit from a high protein dog food
diet. Well wonder no more. We are going to go
over some of the most important nutritional facts
and break this down for you.
Puppies, performance dogs, senior dogs, and
overweight dogs can all benefit from switching
to a high protein dog food diet. Puppies are the
most beneficial to a high protein diet. Protein
is essential to the development of muscle, hair,
skin, and the brain. A puppy should be taking in
25 to 30% protein in their diet to ensure proper
development.
10
Performance dogs, that participate in weight pulling, or agility competitions will also benefit from
a high protein diet. The added protein will help
them develop more muscular strength, while
helping them to burn calories more slowly.
Studies also show that protein can help overweight dogs lose fat while building lean muscle
mass. High protein dog foods also help your
canine burn more calories throughout the day. As
for senior dogs, the extra protein will help them
maintain a lean muscular body.
As with anything regarding your dog, you should
always consult a vet before making any final
decisions. After all, there are some circumstances
where a high protein diet could be harmful to
your bully breed dog. Any dogs with health conditions should not be fed a high protein diet. If
your dog has kidney issues, the protein will be to
much for his/her system to digest. If you dog has
diabetes, they should be on a low protein diet. A
very elderly dog should also avoid high protein
diets, again due to the fact that it will be harder
for their body to digest such a high dosage.
Keep your bully breed dog’s age, weight, health,
and performance level in mind before making
the decision to switch to a high protein dog food
diet. They will thank you for it in the long run.
BUSINESS
Tell our readers about your product, “Bully
Cream Oil”, and what benefits it offers to the
bully breed.
Bully cream oil is an all natural organic skin care
product for bull breeds. Bully breeds almost
always have hot spots, dry skin and other
issues dealing with the skin. We have created
three products that are all nature and organic.
My product benefits include healing dry skin,
restoring hair lost and clearing hot spots. One
of the benefits of bully cream oil is anyone who
uses our products does not have to deal with
the headache of dry skin, hair shedding or lost,
and hot spots. Our product works quickly and we
guarantee results.
What inspired you to create bully cream oil?
Funny story, I created bully cream oil by accident.
My intention was to purchase all natural products
for myself. I started researching the benefits of
going all natural and could not figured out why
all natural products are not provided to our dogs.
I was already experiencing skin issues with my
female bully named Buddy. I decided to go all
natural and created a product to benefit her skin.
Within three days I noticed results and within
a week, my girl no longer had skin issues. Most
people asked me if I had a new dog, but I didn’t
my product works!
What are the differences between the 3 Bully
Cream Oil Products?
Bully cream oil is a daily moisturizer for your dogs
coat. It’s an all-in-one cream that helps with dry
skin, dry patches, hot spots, shedding, and allergies. It’s also helps with tackling dog eczema and
is a natural bug repellent.
Bully cream oil shampoo bar is an all natural
organic product that promotes dogs healthy and
shiny looking skin. Our soap naturally reduces
irritation, deodorizes, and soothes skin all while
cleansing the skin thoroughly.
Bully balm can be used in three ways. It can be
used to heal a cracked nose and cracked paw.
Also be used to restore cracked elbow or dry
spots surrounding the elbow.
Is Bully Cream Oil specific to the bully breed,
or can any dog benefit from the this product?
Any dog can benefit from the product. It’s safe
made of all natural ingredients and safe for the
environment.
Where can people currently purchase Bully
Cream Oil?

NJ. ‘Mercado Bully Supplies’ located in Philadelphia, PA. I also accept orders via Facebook by

Are there any new products people can expect
to see in the future from Bully Cream Oil?
All natural organic shampoo will be launched
soon. It will be nontoxic, non chemical just an all
natural shampoo that is great for all dogs.
Do you currently own any bully breed dogs?
Yes I do. I have an exotic male bully named ‘Hero’
He is ten months and is amazing.
Do you show any of your dogs at any registry
bully shows?
Not currently. My dog is more so a house dog.
What is you favorite bloodline?
I like them all but I’m a sucker for English Bully
dog.
Tell us about one of your most memorable
moments in 2015.
I would say my most memorable moment of 2015
would have to be selling my very first Bully Cream
product. I was able to share the best product on
the market with my bully family.
What other hobbies or interests do you have?
Jaimie: I enjoy cooking, and coaching the kids
basketball and football team. I love to get everything out of the kids, teaching them to work hard
and give their all at a early age.
Anwar: I enjoy doing community work to better
our neighborhood.
What do you think about Bully Girl Magazine?
My second family. You guys mentioned my products were great and they really worked. Thank
you using my products, I appreciate the love and
support.

“Always remain humble, no matter how successful you
become.”
State your name, and where your kennel is
located.
My name is Francisco Romero, owner of Team
Shrek Bullyz. Our kennel is located in Long Island,
NY.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what
inspired you to get involved with that particular breed?
We breed American Bully’s, and my Partner Chico
is starting up our Shorty Bull chapter in Queens,
NY. I’ve always had love for the Bully breeds.
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on
throughout the year?
I mostly feed my dogs dry kibbles. But before a
show, I’ll introduce raw chicken.
What is your favorite bloodline?
My favorite bloodlines are Razors Edge and Gotti.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
I’m currently showing our foundation stud Shrek.
He’s out of GrCh Beastro x Bako Bullyz Tsunami.
He’s 2 wins away from an ABKC Championship.
What advice do you have for any upcoming
breeders?
My main advice would be to stick to your vision
and breed for yourself.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing
for people in the bully game to overcome?
I think one of the most difficult things to overcome is losing a foundation dog. I personally
lost my foundation female Foxy Brown back in
November of 2015.
How do you think they can overcome this
thing?
Just take a step back, and re-evaluate in what
14
direction you want to continue to carry your
program.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and
why?
To be honest I really don’t look up to anyone in
particular. I have the upmost respect for a lot of
breeders and kennels out there.
Tell us about one of your most memorable
moments in 2015.
I finally have a partner that shares my vision and
supports me in the betterment of our kennel.
Describe how you would want things, in the
bully Commuity, to be 10 years from now.
I would like to see equality, less politics and less
favoritism.
What separates your kennel from the competition?
I wouldn’t say separates, but we are very united
and family oriented.
What other hobbies or interests do you take
part in?
Riding motorcycles with my family and club,
“Street Supremacy”.
What motto do you live by?
Always remain humble, no matter how successful
you become.
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
I think Bully Girl Magazine is great for the Bully
Community. I like that fact that they don’t only
interview big name kennels, but give us small
family kennels an opportunity to show people
that we also have quality bullies. Much love and
respect to them.

5 star review by Janice Gilmore August 6,
2015
“Great Book for Children”
I love Barbara Freeman’s book “Super Smart
Sugar.” It definitely in a very subtle way
attacks stereotypes by showing the kind
and loving side of a pit bull. Pit Bulls are
often seen in a very bad light, but Sugar
is seen in a fun and delightful light. This
shows that dogs react to the love and
positive attention that are shown at home.
She engages children to take a look at their
dogs in a different way and actually interact
with them more. Barbara has a very kind
way of engaging children. It is a good read
for them and keeps their interest.

“Add Fun to Reading Time”
This book by Barbara Freeman is one of a
kind. I read this book with kids. I watched
and they got to pick out smart qualities
that their puppy has. This really teaches
kids to recognize those great characteristics in not only animals but in themselves
and their peers. I would recommend this
to any family looking to add some fun into
reading time!

“Best Book Ever”
Love this book; I believe that this book is
appropriate for all ages. I’ve learned so
much about my dog and about pit bulls!
5 Star Review by Ashley Sims
“What an Awesome Read”
What an awesome read!!! I was able to read
this book with my daughters as well as our
new puppy. We found it intriguing, as we
were able to identify many of the “Smart”
characteristics in our own dog.

KENNELS
DBOY KENNELZ
BULLY GIRL MAG | Issue 61
Health first, not money. We’re dealing with a special kind of
breed, and if your heart isn’t in the right spot, it will show in
your dogs. - DBOY KENNELZ.
State your name, and where your kennel is located.
My name is Dylan Moore. Dboy Kennelz is located in
Hamilton, Ohio.
What type of dogs do you breed, and what inspired
you to get involved with that particular breed?
We are currently breeding XL Bully’s, and I have been a
big dog person my whole life. I was raised around nice
dogs my whole life, and never had any knowledge really
of this particular breed, or really about the UKC and
ABKC, period. My friend and fellow dog enthusiast,
decided to educate himself, and fell in love with these
XL’s, as he has been around big dogs as well. He got
connected to Bossy Kennels and Muglestone Pitbull
Farm, and the rest, as of this point has been history. I
came into the picture through a mutual friend, and after
about 5 minutes around these amazing animals I was
hooked!
What type of diet do you keep your dogs on
throughout the year?
We decided to feed our Dogs Diamond Naturals, with a
Raw mix, and have continued that so far this last year.
What is your favorite bloodline?
I have to say the Gottiline. I believe that this bloodline
brings structure, mass, athleticism, intelligence and
an awesome look to match an amazing temperament.
Gottiline has the whole package.
Do you currently show, any of your dogs?
Yes, we are currently getting prepared for an amazing
year here at Dboy Kennelz. Rocko, our top stud, will be
showed throughout the year on the ABKC circuit. He has
PR on both bloodlines, and his pedigree is next to none!
Grand Champion both lines... We’re confident Dboy
Rocko Moore will add his name to the list.
What advice do you have for any upcoming breeders?
Health first, not money. We’re dealing with a special
kind of breed, and if your heart isn’t in the right spot, it
will show in your dogs.
What do you think, is the most difficult thing for
people in the bully game to overcome?
Misinformed people, I mean lack of knowledge shadows as ignorance sometimes with people not associated with, or interested in these amazing dogs.
How do you think they can overcome this thing?
By staying diligent in their path, and keeping focused
on sharing the knowledge it takes for all the misinformed people to understand this special breed.
Who do you look up to in the bully game, and why?
My friend and confidant, Jadu LaFatte. He is the owner
42
of LaFatte Korsos, and also a trainer here at Dboy Kennelz, and promoter. He has been the biggest influence
to me since we arrived. He has showed me the ropes,
and connected me with amazing breeders and dog
owners. My footwork, his influence... much love!
Tell us about one of your most memorable moments
in 2015.
I would have to say when I met Bully Girl Magazine, but
then you might think i’m trying to impress too hard!
So, I would say the first show in Lebanon, Ohio. Just the
experience itself was incredible to me, it only added to
the fun, really.
Describe how you would want things, in the Bully
Community, to be 10 years from now.
To be accepted in every community, neighborhood,
with no outside influences from the officials stating
whether or not our dogs are vicious, mean, or anything
other than how the owner is raising his/her dog.
Knowledge is Power.
What separates your kennel from the competition?
Besides the pedigree being top notch, here at Dboy
Kennelz, we understand our mission. We want to kill stereotypical behavior by using our influences to put these
dogs into good homes for the right people, and give
them amazing dogs for years to come. We truly believe
our dogs are pound for pound, the greatest on earth. If
we didn’t believe that, we wouldn’t be here. It’s limitless
what our dogs can achieve. Athleticism, look, intelligence, and high alertness, with low temperament. The
complete package. We do training here as well, and can
have any family’s dog trained before he comes home.
2016 is going to be an amazing year for Dboy Kennelz,
the ABKC, and the Bully World.
What other hobbies or interests do you take part in?
We sponsor billiards leagues, softball, and we participate in all the activities of course. We’re active in all
sports here. As a matter of fact, I’m something like a
beast on the pool table myself, if you dont mind me
saying!
What motto do you live by?
“When I stop living in the problem, and start living in
the answer, my problems go away’.’
What do you think of Bully Girl Magazine?
Oh, you already know. I love Bully Girl Magazine. You’ve
showed us love from Day 1. You made me and my family very comfortable, and accepted. Those things do not
go unnoticed. Thank you very much for your invite, it
absolutely meant the world to us here at Dboy Kennelz.
We will stay affiliated with, and for you guys for life!

Biggie Smalls said it best: “Stay far from timid, only
make moves when your hearts in it, and live the phrase
sky’s the limit.“ - JULIA G.
Where are you from, and what is your nationality?
I am from Long Island, NY. & my nationality is
Puerto Rican.
If you could pick the location, where would the
next photo shoot be, and why?
The beach, I know it sounds cliche but it’s my
favorite place to be.
How long have you been modeling, and what
inspired you to start?
I don’t have a time frame, yet I have done a few
shoots. As far as inspiration goes, I’ve always been
told I was photogenic, I guess I kind of ran with
that.
What other hobbies do you have, besides
modeling?
Cooking, it’s a hobby and almost a form of relaxation.
How was your photo shoot with Bully Girl
Magazine?
It was dope, the good vibes were definitely there.
Tell our fans something about yourself, that
not too many people know about you.
Im a very shy person. I know being in this industry there is no room for being shy, but hey I’ll
break through it.
What was your favorite part of the photo
shoot?
My favorite part of any shoot is hair and makeup,
I love being pampered.
What are your goals for the future?
My goals for the future are to be successful and
rich in love. I may not know right now what the
future holds but those are my ultimate goal.
What did you think of the Bully Girl Apparel?
Honestly I love it, the apparel is good quality,
doesn’t seem cheap or cheesy like most.
What advice do you have for any up and
coming models, or young business women out
there?
My piece of advice will be, just keep pushing
through. You will fail, fall on your face, you will
be told you can’t do it, but none of that matters.
What matters is that you keep striving for greatness.
What body part of yours, would you say gets
the most attention?
Good question, my backside.
Where else can we see some of your recent
work?
You can check out my latest work on my Instagram @LALA__A1.

“I’m not the kind of artist that can perform something
night after night, if I don’t believe in it, or if it’s not true
to me or my experience.” - CHERAE LERI.
ailing from St. Louis, Missouri, this young vibrant
song bird is hitting the music scene hard with her
own flavor and style. Cherae Leri is a songwriter,
dancer, actress and former model. She began her
entertainment career at the age of 3 when she
began modeling and acting.
Leri has never followed trends, so don’t expect
to hear her trying to mimic anyone. The music is
hers, and it’s the kind of sound you want to take
with you on a road trip, to the gym, and to the
office.
48
Leri has been influenced by some of the more
prominent Artists like Patti Labelle, Leela James
and Erykah Badu, whom she met with her mother, a traveling DJ, while attending the Tom Joyner
Morning Show at the age of 12. Badu encouraged
Leri and her Mother to move to the Houston
area where she also pursued a modeling career.
Although her claim to fame might have been
through the modeling world, Leri never stopped
working on her music.
In 2015 Leri relocated to Atlanta, GA where she
has been working on her upcoming LP. The first
single from the project “Mirage,” is infused with
both R&B and pop. With her solid vocals “Mirage”
gives you that dark vibe, similar to that of recording artist - The Weeknd.
January 2016, Leri quietly dropped her second
single “Just Bizness”, and the song is already
exceeding expectations. Combining elements of
neo-soul, pop, jazz, and R&B, “Just Bizness” (produced by Mello) is another example of how Leri
takes elements of past musical influences and
adds her own modern take.
The St. Louis native will continue her graceful
glide into the industry waters, when she releases
her debut LP, “No Correlation“, in 2016.

HOW TO BE SINGLE
Synopsis:
In this irreverent spin on the superhero genre, former Special
Forces soldier Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) agrees to participate
in a top-secret experiment after learning that he has terminal cancer. When the procedure leaves him with advanced healing powers and a disfigured face, he reinvents himself as a wisecracking,
spandex-clad mercenary known as Deadpool, and seeks revenge
on those responsible. Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, and
Gina Carano co-star. Directed by Tim Miller.
Synopsis:
In this biblical suspense drama, Roman soldier Clavius (Joseph Fiennes) and his partner Lucius (Tom Felton) are assigned to squelch
an uprising in Jerusalem by locating the crucified body of Jesus
Christ. But Clavius soon undergoes a crisis of faith when he witnesses miraculous events during the course of their investigation.
Directed by Kevin Reynolds.
Synopsis:
Four women with vastly different ideas about love and relationships navigate the single life of New York City. Taking a break from
her long-term boyfriend Josh (Nicholas Braun), Alice (Dakota Johnson) sets out on a journey of self-discovery with her hard-drinking
new friend Robin (Rebel Wilson). Meanwhile, Alice’s career-driven
older sister Meg (Leslie Mann) struggles with the idea of settling
down, and uptight romantic Lucy (Alison Brie) searches for her perfect match. Adapted from former Sex and the City writer Liz Tuccillo’s debut novel, this modern rom com was directed by Christian
Ditter.
