CIRCUS TREES
THE GREEN BARN
Scattered throughout the park, these incredible trees were
originally shaped into complex designs by Axel Erlandson,
then rescued and lovingly transplanted here at Gilroy
Gardens by park founder Michael Bonfante.
Science and nature ignite imagination at Gilroy Gardens'
newest learning experience! Open a trading account at the
Nature Exchange, get creative in the Art Studio, or just kick
back with a good book in the Reading Nook.
CLAUDIA’S GARDEN
GREEN SPOTS
This peaceful garden was named for founder Michael
Bonfante’s wife Claudia and features conifers, color,
and serene waterfalls.
Look for the “Green Spot” learning centers throughout the
park to discover more about science, nature, and the local
environment—from earthquakes and weather to redwood
forests and our very own Circus Trees.
CAMELLIA GARDEN
Step into a lush green world of blooming camellias and
colorful Japanese Maples—and enjoy the Musical Market
Show while you’re here!
HONEY BEE HUT
MONARCH GARDEN
BUTTERFLY EXHIBIT INSIDE MONARCH GARDEN
Discover tropical and sub-tropical trees, plants, flowers,
and butterflies that all thrive in this 60-foot-tall climatecontrolled greenhouse.
View Monarch butterflies in various stages of their life
cycle—and maybe even see them released into Monarch
Garden! Butterflies generally appear from late June to
early August.
HOLLY GARDEN
A spectacular
night-time festival
of light celebrating
over 2,000 years
of Chinese culture
and history.
Stroll through a pathway garden featuring over 20 different
varieties of holly and enjoy great views of Coyote Lake, lily
ponds and waterfalls from the two observation decks.
RAINBOW GARDEN
Take the Rainbow Garden Round Boat Ride and drift
leisurely down a stream winding through beds of annual
color and whimsical topiaries.
