BIOS pour démarrer depuis le support créé.

4.1. Boot From Hard Drive (Windows Vista, 7, 2000 or Xp)
Cette option vous permet de démarrer sur votre disque dur.

En choisissant Mini windows xp vous arriverez sur un bureau XP comme ceci :

Si vous n'avez pas utilisé l'astuce lors de la création du support pour passer Hiren's BootCD
en "partie en français" : cliquez près de l'horloge puis cliquez sur EN et choisissez
chois
French pour
avoir un clavier en AZERTY et non QWERTY.
Cliquez depuis le bureau ou près de l'horloge sur UBCDMenu afin d'avoir accès à tous les
logiciels présents sur Hiren's BootCD.

4.3. Dos programs
Ce mode est à choisir pour utiliser un logiciel sous DOS. Vous accéderez à un menu vous proposant
diverses catégories de logiciels (test de ram comme memtest, test du disque dur, logiciels de
sauvegarde...)

Le mode de secours Linux vous donne la possibilité de démarrer sous un environnement limité de

votre système.
4.5. Windows Memory diagnostics
Windows Memory Diagnostic est un outil permettant
d'effectuer des tests sur la mémoire vive (RAM) d'un
ordinateur. Le diagnostic comprend un ensemble
complet de tests de mémoire. Si vous rencontrez des
problèmes lors de l'exécution de Windows, vous
pouvez utiliser ce logiciel pour déterminer si les
problèmes sont causés par un défaut de matériel, tels
que le RAM ou le système de mémoire de votre carte
mère. Le diagnostic mémoire Windows est conçu pour
être facile et rapide. Sur la plupart des configurations,
vous pouvez télécharger le diagnostic, lire la
documentation, exécutez le test et de passer le test en
moins de 30 minutes.
4.6. Memtest86+
Memtest86+
Memtest86+ est un logiciel Open Source qui démarre depuis un
périphérique autonome. Il peut donc fonctionner sur n'importe quel
système d'exploitation.
Il permet de tester à fond ses barrettes de mémoire.
Les résultats de Memtest86+ sont faciles à analyser :
Si votre écran de départ conserve le même tableau après au moins une passe complète, on peut
estimer que la mémoire est sainee :

Si des lignes rouges se sont ajoutées, votre mémoire est défectueuse :

Dans de rares cas, vous pouvez avoir le message "Unexpected

Interrupt - Halting" comme

faut dans ce cas recommencer complètement l'analyse pour s'assurer que la RAM est saine :

L'image disque est une technique qui consiste en la recopie intégrale et exacte du disque dont on fait
l'image. On peut comparer ceci à une photocopie sans perte de définition.
Bien plus qu'une sauvegarde qui consiste à enregistrer certains fichiers que l'utilisateur choisis,
l'image permet en cas de crash irrémédiable du disque
disque système de recopier l'état exact de
l'ordinateur sur un nouveau disque.
Ceci veut donc dire que toutes les données mais également tous les logiciels, toutes les mises à jours,
les favoris, les historiques divers et variés, la base de registres, les différents
différents comptes utilisateurs et
leur profil propre, etc. seront de nouveau restaurés sur ce nouveau disque.
De plus, les utilitaires d’image disque en général, permettent aussi de récupérer des fichiers
contenus dans l'image aussi facilement qu'on peut le faire avec l'explorateur Windows.
Précautions avant exécution :
Avant de commencer l’écriture d’une image disque, il est important de vérifier l’intégrité du PC
(analyses antivirus, fichiers systèmes, etc.).

5. Trouver un fichier particulier dans l'image via l'Explorateur Windows :

Dans l'Explorateur Windows ci-dessous,
dessous, on peut
visualiser les fichiers de l'image. On constate que la
structure est identique à celle du disque réel C:. On
peut donc naviguer dans l'image comme on le fait pour
l'usage courant dans le ou les disques du PC.
Une fois les opérations ci-dessus
dessus terminées, il ne reste plus qu'à "démonter" la sauvegarde.
Conclusion :
Pour rendre les sauvegardes sûres, l'idéal est d'en faire avec différents moyens sur différents
supports. On peut par exemple utiliser DiscWizard sur un disque externe X et utiliser l'outil de
sauvegarde fourni avec Vista Intégrale (ce dernier est beaucoup plus opaque – pas de possibilité de
naviguer dans la sauvegarde pour y chercher un fichier particulier) sur un autre support.
Également, il est recommandé de faire une rotation en conservant les 2 ou 3 dernières sauvegardes
réalisées.
C'est la meilleure garantie pourr être certain de disposer de sauvegardes disponibles en cas de crash
irréversible.

4.8. PloP Boot Manager
PloP Boot Manager est un petit programme pour démarrer différents
systèmes d'exploitation. Vous pouvez démarrer les systèmes d'exploitation
à partir du disque dur, disquette, CD / DVD ou un périphérique USB.

Smart Boot Manager est un petit utilitaire très pratique qui permet
d'amorcer votre ordinateur sur de nombreux périphériques.
