As I ponder the past year, I am reminded of how much I have learned about serving others and how very important it is to be flexible! I am so privileged to be a part of such a loving, kind, compassionate, Christ-centered ministry. This has truly been a busy and productive year for our centers. We have implemented two new educational programs, added a small food pantry, hosted the mobile dental unit, held several fund raisers, and created a monthly donor group which will eventually allow us to purchase one crib every month for a needy baby! But wait, the best is yet to come! We saved (28) babies from abortion and had (17) Salvations since January l, 2009 to date. We are currently working with several local churches to get disciple teams in place at each church to welcome these new believers. What better way to emulate God's love than by connecting with a person who has just made the most important decision in their life. We have always been fortunate to have so many faithful donors, and this includes the very special ones that God has called to help us with a building (home) for our ministry. We are praying that someone's heart will be touched and will help us once again with a new location. We pray daily for a permanent home – because every move is very costly. Not only costly in finances but we feel that we lose clients with every move. Do you have property that would provide us with office space, several rooms for our educational classes, and perhaps house a thrift shop? We know that prayer works, so please remember to pray for a new location and how you can help us. I want to personally invite you to attend our annual banquet (11-6-2009). We are planning some very special events this year; we are mixing it up a little bit, so put on your “khakis or jeans”, don that cowboy hat that's in the closet, and come 'partner' with us! Invitations with all the details will be mailed soon. SAVING BABIES, SERVING MOTHERS, SHARING TRUTH. In HIS Service, Marsha, Executive Director Especially guys, to help assemble furniture. GOD GAVE US A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO REACH OUT TO MEMBERS IN OUR COMMUNITY WITH DENTAL NEEDS August 18 thru August 21 The Bay Area Pregnancy Center and Skycrest Baptist Church hosted the mobile dental unit which is operated by The Florida Baptist Association. Local dentists donated their time to provide more than $ 15,000.00 in dental procedures treating 45 individuals who do not have dental insurance and had dental needs. Skycrest volunteers provided encouragement, kindness, and “TLC” to each and every person. These same volunteers shared The Gospel and invited every person to attend a local church. We were so blessed by this project and reminded that we are simply the tool used to carry out God's work in this ministry. Many thanks to : Dr. Amy Bonham Dr. Edson Bustamante Dr. John Eifert Dr. Shannon Egleston Dr. Hamid Fini Dr. Donna Nichols Dr. John Krueger AND THEIR ASSISTANTS! FLORIDA PREGNANCY SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAM History: In March of 2005, then Governor Jeb Bush launched the Florida Pregnancy Support Services Program. The program is managed by the Florida Department of Health and allocated $2 million dollars to the FPSSP. This is a state program whose purpose is to promote childbirth and encourage pregnant women to carry their pregnancies to term and choose parenting or adoption. Recently: In January of this year, state budget cuts were proposed; over $ 500,000 was on the table to be cut from the FPSSP budget. Representative Scott Plakon from District 37 was instrumental in 'saving' these funds! Scott is a Christian, has six children, and is current and founding board member of 'Safe Harbor Pregnancy Center.' ‘Labor of love’ from all of us at BAPC: a HUGE “Thank-You” 1/12/2009 1/27/2009 1/25/2009 1/30/2009 1/29/2009 2/2/2009 2/3/2009 2/20/2009 3/24/2009 3/30/2009 4/1/2009 4/5/2009 4/11/2009 4/16/2009 4/25/2009 4/29/2009 5/2/2009 5/5/2009 5/11/2009 5/11/2009 5/16/2009 5/31/2009 6/4/2009 Twin 6/6/2009 6/6/2009 6/15/2009 10lb 8oz 9lb 6oz 7lb 1oz 7lb 3oz 8lb 2oz 6lb 3oz 6lb 9oz 7lb 12oz 6lb 9oz 6lb 6oz 9lb 8oz 7lb 4oz 8lb 7oz 6lb 3oz 7lb 3oz 7lb 12oz 7lb 9oz 7lb 14oz 6lb 1oz 9lb 1oz 6lb 2oz 3lb 15oz 5lb 15oz 4lb 11oz 6lb 9oz 7lb 3oz 8lb 1oz Pesha Darrell Daryan Natalie Yandel Dylan Brayden Mickey Karla Anahny SEMINOLE OFFICE 11600 Seminole Blvd. Largo, F1.33777 6/20/2009 6/29/2009 Twin 7/7/2009 7/22/2009 8/6/2009 8/19/2009 8/21/2009 8/28/2009 8/30/2009 7lb 2oz 4lb 1oz 4lb 8oz 8lb 7oz 6lb 5oz 7lb 5oz 5lb 5oz 8lb 4oz 10lb 3oz 5lb 13oz JESUS LOVES THE LITTLE CHILDREN Please welcome our precious ones Dominic Eligah Isaiah Jon twins Jake Caylie Danica Kara Sada Persephini Joseph Xaylin Katherine Spencer Josiah Emily Hiba Angel Lilly Cornelius Chyanne Ayden Toney Jordan 1/6/2009 2/15/2009 2/13/2009 2/21/2009 2/21/2009 2/22/2009 2/25/2009 3/9/2009 3/13/2009 3/15/2009 4/15/2009 4/16/2009 5/7/2009 5/9/2009 5/9/2009 5/10/2009 5/12/2009 5/28/2009 6/10/2009 6/24/2009 6/27/2009 6/27/2009 7/7/2009 8/17/2009 8lb 15oz 7lb 6oz 7lb 1oz 2lb 6oz 2lb 11oz 7lb 10oz 6lb 5oz 6lb 10oz 6lb 9oz 7lb 6oz 5lb 6oz 7lb 11oz 5lb 11 oz 7lb 3oz 7lb 1oz 7lb 12oz 6lb 8oz 7lb 11oz 7lb 13oz 7lb 9oz 5lb 3oz 6lb 1oz 7lb 11oz 4lb 8oz Mr. Chuck Philips Mrs. Missy Russell Mrs. Marsha Rimer (Dir) Louise, still sets the example and shows us how it’s done.... fundraisor to this ministry. Many people are facing job loss, businesses closing, foreclosures and more. But no matter how bad things get, we must not lose our faith. FAITH IS THE VICTORY! We will continue to cling to this blessed promise. God is not telling us what He is going to do, but we know it will be something Great and Mighty! Please continue to pray for our ministry and new location. Skycrest Christian School, led by Principal Steven Clagg and Mr Cardia, bring much needed supplies to the BAPC.
