The Complex
The layout of the Avenue Apartments was inspired by the desire to maximise natural light in the space. Since the ‘ideal’ home is sited daytime living areas facing north, it
resulted in the ‘dual aspect’ plan form. The individual apartments are the full length of each block which determines the access arrangement, with only two apartments at
each level serviced by lift and stairs. The developer’s objective for the Avenue residential complex was to produce a quality living environment at an affordable price. In order
to meet this goal, great care has been taken with all aspects of the overall site planning as well as the layout detailing of individual apartments. Some aspects of the features

Living rooms are bright and airy with higher than average ceilings. All units are finished to high standards including but not limited to double glazing throughout, large full

The Main Entrance
The main entrance to the complex is parallel to and mid way along one of the most important roads of Mellieha. A choice of one, two or three bedroom apartments are
available and their main access is from a quiet road by gently rising steps. A double level basement below the blocks accommodates residential parking with a vast range of
lock-up garages.
Apartments are wired with video intercom from main entrance to internal unit for the security of the residents. Lift service will be very efficient as only two apartments per floor
are served by each lift.

The Village Feast
A visit to Mellieha without experiencing its traditional festa is similar to going to Paris and not visiting the Eiffel Tower. The Feast of Mellieha takes place in the first week of
September and has got very ancient origins. Mellieha village feast, “Il-Vitorja” meaning Victory Day, is one of the five national holidays most important in Malta. Its aim is
the commemoration of three notable events for the Maltese Islands which are the Victory of the Great Siege of Malta and the Maltese people over the Ottoman Empire in
1565, nevertheless the victories against the Italians in 1943 during the World War II and The Maltese people’s rebeillion against French troops in Malta which happened in
September 1800.
The sheer amount of effort, energy, fanaticism and belief that goes into this festa draws in the crowds, both local and foreign. Follow the town band and statue processions,
let you hair down in street parties and meditate in the adorned Parish church, and marvel at breathtaking firework displays which range from an array of mechanised ground
firework machines and to a vivid colour display in the sky from all kinds of petards which can be easily enjoyed from the comfort of Avenue Apartment’s terraces. Get ready
to experience intricate street decorations, confetti throwing, and the carrying of heavy life size religious statues. Whilst the outside of the Parish Church glows at its very best,
its inside exhibit stupendous flower arrangements, rich damasks, silver candelabra, smell of incense and richly embroidered church vestments during the solemn High Mass,
Marvel at breathtaking fireworks bursting in the night sky whereas its radiance glows over the picturesque Parish Church of Our Holy Virgin, Maria Bambina.

About the Area
Mellieha is Malta’s best known tourist destination all year round and is Malta’s most rugged northwesterly region renowned for its bewitching blend of scenery and its
impressive, deeply indented coastline, which ranges from rugged sheer sea cliffs in the western side to popular broad golden beaches mostly in the eastern side, such as
Mellieha bay known locally as “Ghadira”, famed for the largest and most popular golden sandy beach of the Maltese Islands, boasting stunning views across the azure waters
of the Mediterranean Sea, with long, rocky headlands giving the bay a secluded, protected feel, also with its gently shelving approach to the water makes it ideal for children.
The ultimate ‘away from it all’ town, a paradise for all windsurfers, scuba divers and back-to-nature beach-lovers with plenty of water sports on offer, including floating fun
park, water-skies, wake and body -boarding, parasailing, paddle, boat, canoe and jet ski rentals, offers a unique selection of sensational sand dunes on the east side such
as Mistra Bay, Armier, Little Armier, “Dahlet ix-Xmajjar” and “Ramlet il-Qortin” both pine-fringed at l-Ahrax area. Further impressive coves are also dotted throughout on the
west side of the town, which includes, Golden Bay, Paradise Bay, Riviera Bay, Slugs Bays, “Imgiebah Bay” famous for tuna finishing and much more. Also for those looking
for a day by the pool, a workout at the gym or a day at the spa, nearby you will find several hotels with these ameneties such as ‘Pergola Hotel”, La Salita and Solana Hotel
amongst others.
Also Anchor Bay, where the 1980 movie Popeye was filmed and chosen as the setting for the fishing village Sweethaven, nowadays known as Popeye Village Fun Park and
Cirkewwa Bay also excellent for scuba diving and snorkelling in the protected underwater park, offers a regular ferry terminal direct to Gozo together with excursions to all
offshore islands either by exhilarating power boat rides or by traditional Maltese vessels such as Luzzu and Kajjik. Attractive areas of winding, rocky coastline dotted with
hidden coves and enchanting grottos some of which are only accessible by boat. Fishing trips are organised both for deep and coastal sea fishing.
Mellieha flourished under British Colonization for over 160 years and was one of the many settlements the Knights of St. John established for a limited period of 268 years,
complete with fortifications, a Church and an ancient Shrine; The Sanctuary of Our lady of Mellieha – The Grotto, which is covered with votive gifts and whereas St. Paul and
St. Luke has once visited, holds with care the oldest painted picture of ‘The Madonna’ in the whole world. The Shrine has became one of the island’s most venerated places
due several claim visions of Our Lady and to an underground spring in the heart of the cave being said to have miraculous powers healing diseases.
The county is a mystic gem with a thriving arts scene, steeped in myth, legend and history complete with its majestic Cathedral, magnificent Temples, medieval towers
and rich assortment of archaeological finds are a lasting reminder of the village’s chequered past, which include caves and associated troglodytic dwellings; cart ruts, fossil
remains, quarries, tombs, catacombs and military architecture. The historical heritage of the village is evident in Watch-post Towers, one in Ghajn Tuffieha, two at l-Ahrax,
White Tower & Red Tower, and another two fortifications at Ramla and Selmun, “Ghajn Hadid Tower” & Fort Cambell. Mellieha’s treasures also include the historical Coastal
-Batteries and -Redoubts on the coast off Triq id-Dawra tat-Tunnara, it-Torri L-Ahmar such as “Barriera” and “Eskalar” Redoubt, ta’ “Maccja” and “Mistra” Battery and also
“tal-Bir” Redoubt. “Taht is-Sur”, outposts on the ridges, cliffs and near the beach, such as “Louvier” Entrenchment, all offer great views of the hamlet’s landscapes and also
lends itself to active sports like climbing, hill walking, trekking, abseiling, kayaking and horse riding.
