Introduction
Web Strap Lug-All
Lug-All web strap hoists are specifically designed for overhead maintenance and
construction of lines. The unique reason why linesmen prefer web strap Lug-All’s is
the breakable stress link that signifies an overload condition.
Also known as Web Strap Pullers or Lineman’s Come-Alongs, these
LUG-ALL® web strap hoists were specifically developed in the
1960’s to pull and/or tension energized power lines during
either line construction or repair.
Wire rope ratchet hoists are ideal for precision tensioning, pulling and lifting.
Replaceable Stress Link
These lightweight lineman’s come-alongs are used
internationally by utilities and utility service companies,
typically in “bucket trucks” or for underground utility work.
Both units come with forged hooks with safety latches and the double locking
pawl mechanism provides positive load holding in all conditions.
Lug-All, the choice of linemen throughout the world.
LUG-ALL web strap hoists are also becoming more popular with
industrial maintenance personnel who prefer web straps over
cables or chains.
Interlocking Pawl System
Capacities range from 1 to 2 ton. When you need a web strap
hoist that gives you the quality, durability and reliability you
expect, a LUG-ALL web strap hoist is the answer.

History
In 1949, George Uhlig saw an urgent safety need: how to prevent load slippage on cable lever ratchet hoists. His idea was
to create the interlocking, double-pawl ratchet system to ensure that one pawl always holds the load.
He designed the first fully functional interlocking double pawl mechanism built with aluminum castings. The product,
which was known as the LUG-ALL Winch-Hoist , was the first product of its kind to function both as a winch and as a hoist
("winch-hoist"). U.S. Patent No. 2,633,328 was granted for the invention.
The Creation Of The Lineman’s Hoist
Over the years, LUG-ALL grew to offer a large and diversified hoist product line, its exclusive designs being continually
rewarded with patents. Many of its innovations flow from customer requests. That’s how, in the early 1960’s, we created
the Lineman’s Web Strap Hoist to satisfy utilities needing a safer, more dielectric puller for tensioning energized power
lines.
In addition to owning various patents over the years, LUG-ALL Corporation came to own U.S. trademarks in the LUGALL® name, logo and the distinctive shape of its main frame.

Continuous Design Improvements
In 1959, George Uhlig was issued a U.S. Patent for the new main frame hoist shape that is still in use today. That main
frame shape was registered as a U.S. Trademark after the LUG-ALL frame shape became recognisable and known
throughout the marketplace.

Stress Link Overload Warning
The stress link, next to the
overload link, snaps when the
hoist is overloaded warning the
operator to back off the load
before injury or damage. The
overload link has elongated holes
which allows enough movement
for the stress link to snap, while
still holding the handle socket
assembly together.

3. Broken Stress Link
• Positive Load Holding in all Environments – Interlocking pawl
mechanism, no load brakes to slip or foul
• Ease of Operation – Self lubricating bearings throughout housing and
on pulley assures smooth operation
• Stress Link – Signals operator by breaking replaceable link before
overloading hoist
• Double Flanged Drum – Prevents web strap from coming in contact
with ratchet teeth
• Self Lubricating Bearings – Smooth operation
• Open Frame Construction – Ease of cleaning, greasing and visual
inspection
• Complete Range - Many styles and hook combinations available
• Engineered for Reliable Operation – Meets ANSI B30.21

Cable Ratchet Winch Hoist
Wire Rope Lug-All
Get hooked up with LUG-ALL Cable Ratchet Lever Hoists!
Since 1949, LUG-ALL has offered the most dependable, reliable, and durable ratchet lever
hoists on the market. LUG-ALL cable ratchet lever hoists, also known as come alongs, have
many applications: construction, mining, and farming just to name a few.
Durability
Design Hoists That Protect Themselves
The handles on LUG-ALL Cable Hoists are designed to bend upon 20% to 50%
overload, stopping you from further damage. Replace the handle, not the hoist!
On our medium-large hoist (6000-15), an easily replaceable shear pin breaks
with an audible warning upon overload conditions, prior to damaging the
hoist or risking an accident.
Our LUG-ALL Lineman’s Hoists features exclusive overload protection
and warning via an easily replaceable stress link.
Precision Components Last Longer
Our manufacturing precision — to thousandths of an inch —
not only enables you to do your job more expertly; it also
lets the hoist work better, longer, with much less wear.
Require Little Maintenance
• Open frames for instant tool inspection
• Lubricated-for-life bushings
• Crimped copper sleeves to definitively capture
cable strands
• 133-strand aircraft cable
• Marine-Grade Hoists for
corrosive environments
• Not stamped! USA-made,
cast aluminum frames for
superior durability
LUG-ALL Cable Hoists can be used virtually anywhere a completely dependable,
durable, industrial strength come-along/hoist is needed.
Capacities range from 1/2 to 3 ton. All are constructed with a lightweight aluminum
alloy frame with open construction for daily visual inspection. Each LUG-ALL cable
hoist is factory tested to 125% of the rated capacity.
