Boot Out Cancer Top Boot
Boot Out Cancer has ended but the rewards will continue until
next year! Here is the team at Gurley Street presenting their check
to Prescott and Prescott Valley Cancer Care (DSC 0009). Everyone
was a winner with this challenge and we are proud to see the
involvement and friendly
competition that helped us
promote cancer awareness
and prevention in both
Kingman and Prescott. Thank
you to all the Fork in the Road
Restaurants for your support
in helping us to Boot Out
Cancer.
Our “Top Boot” for Gurley
Street went to Samantha
Rodarte and of course Ms.
Natasha Roggow receives
the pink boot award to
display in her restaurant until
results from next year are in!
(DSC0030)
Stay tuned for presentation of
Kingman funds in January.
Happy Holidays everyone!
Right: JD Marshall led the Dambar team with
gusto, and though they didn’t win the competition,
they certainly gave cancer a good sock!

Black Friday sampling events
I would like to provide some recognition for Jessica and Sam at 59th and Bell and Cassidy, Jared and Justin at
99th and Lake Pleasant. Yesterday they took our exciting new menu items to the streets and sampled for consumers
while they were Black Friday shopping. Justin partnered with Walmart and sampled from 11am -12:30pm and Jessica
partnered with Office Max and Party City at 83rd and Bell and sampled from 1pm - 2:30pm. This was a great event
and the samplers were amazed with the new product
offerings we have. So many said “You can get this at
Pizza Hut?”
Both teams also took the opportunity to get out
new menus, magnets and coupons to the samplers.
One key takeaway I had from the events as I attended
both was how many samplers didn’t know where our
stores are. So many of their faces lit up when you
would tell them free samples and these are Pizza Huts
new items but the unawareness of the locations shows
us what a great opportunity we have for B2B, car
toppers and door hangers in our communities to deliver
top lines sales through brand/location awareness.
Once again thanks to those who participated to
share the new menu items with consumers who were
unaware of the changes.

Sales Recognitions
Sales Building Recognition
I wanted to recognize 3 managers for some sales building
successes they have going on this week:
1.
Adam and team at 91st and Peoria landed a business
order for $250 yesterday. His store achieved $232 in growth
versus last year so without the order instead of being up 12%
SSSG for the day we would have been negative.
2.
On a day that is busy and we typically wait for sales
to come to us, Bonny and team have set up a tent right off
Union Hills and 7th St with coupons to create attention and
buzz around our new menu. This is a great way to build sales
and brand awareness during lunch before a busy night.
3.
Justin and team at 99th and Deer Valley have partnered
with Walmart for sampling new product Friday which resulted
in a $455 order over 4 deliveries this day from the business just
by setting up the sampling contact.
I know there are many more successful sales stories and
activities out there. Please keep sharing these to help build
sales momentum in our trade areas and region.

NCS playoff game sales
Just wanted to provide some recognition to Craig and
his team, we just finished selling pizzas and cookies at
the NCS playoff game tonight and did $550 in sales in
3 hours at the game. They also made contacts to be
in selling pizza at every
game during next football
season!!!
This is a great example
how an event 4 weeks
ago that generated
$245 with the school for
Homecoming has lead to
continued partnership
in the community. On
top of the $550 in sales
we donated back $100
to the school off water
sales, these connections
bring the Heart of the Hut
recipe 5 to life by giving
something back to the
community and finding
ways to be involved in our
neighborhoods.

Sales Recognition PH 029611 Parker!
I'd like to recognize Elicia at 029611 for some Sales Mania.
She has been doing some local store marketing this past
week in Parker to grow sales! This morning she was able
to capture a 100 pizza order for a candidate running for
the Colorado River Indian Tribe Council.
On top of this, she had a very busy afternoon buffet!
$1800 in total sales by 3pm! Excellent work team!

Region 1 Communication
Board Review
I am proud to announce the winners of the recent Region One Contest. There were several reasons for the
implementation of the contest:
1. To address consistent communication from restaurant to restaurant throughout out the region
2. Designate a specific prep area with job aides and materials
3. Assign a shift leader or employee to be engaged in the ownership of the communication area
4. Bring forth knowledge of the four key forms we should utilize each day:
1. Shift accountability form from the previous day which addresses sales/labor/ICOS/Cash
and SWS – five areas we are accountable for each and every day - each and every shift –
posting this form builds knowledge of success and opportunities within the restaurant
2. The SWS tracking form that prints at the end of the night – use this for shift and daily
goal setting – shows the average SWS in each day part and allows us to see how we are
improving in all day parts and if we are meeting our daily goals
3. Second page of the schedule – breaks sales down in each day part and allows one to
address how sales are trending for the day and what goals to set for each shift to build sales
and meet the budget
4. Prep guide — are we using this each shift – are we over prepping in the morning or late
evening – thus carry over of products throughout out the day instead of fresh product every
four hours – are we over prepping and thus breaks aren't being done as the prep is still in
progress at inappropriate times – are we prepping all times needed through out the day
5. Team building – everyone knows how the restaurant is progressing and allows the
opportunity for recognition
Now the winners: This was a tough decision and I felt the need to add another level of recognition –
honorable mention which the four restaurants won $50 in gift cards.
Honorable mention goes to: TL 29517, TL 22346, TB 18414 and TB
2703
Third Place goes to TL 23233 and that restaurant will receive
$75 in gift cards
Second place goest to TB 22003 and that restaurant will
receive $100 in gift cards
FIRST PLACE goes to TB 22882 and that restaurant team
will receive $150 in gift cards.
Thanks to all and I appreciate the ownership that many took
in this process – in getting the teams involved and holding to
the importance of daily communication builds knowledge of
their teams – this in turn builds comfort in driving performance
and awesome guest service

Pizza Hit Reimagined
In September, all Above Store Leaders from around the US travelled to the Pizza hut Core in Texas for
the Pizza hut Re-Imagined training. This was an amazing event that reviewed the Phase 1 and Phase 2
training; a review of the new products, descriptions, and hands on training. The next 60 days were crucial
to our success! There was many hours and days put into planning, scheduling, ordering, rebuilding, and
training for this launch.
I want to say “THANK YOU!!” Together, we have made it to the Pizza Hut Re-launch! THANK YOU for
everyone’s hard work and dedication to making it great for our brand, our team, and our customers!
