BACKGROUND
T
he ‘Korean Press’ newspaper was established, based on Malaysia
& Singapore in the Year 2000, and has played its role as a premium Korean Media for improving people’s living level in both countries via exchanging news & information between locals and Koreans and also supporting their communications and networks.
There are about 30,000 and 35,000 Koreans staying in Singapore &
Malaysia respectively and this volume is getting bigger and bigger
following the increase of the transnational trade of goods, services
and cultural elements as well. Also lots of people are moving between these three countries for travel and tours.
Most of the Koreans here are businessmen from private companies
and also there are students, government employees, technicians, retired migrants and so forth. For all of these readers in the multi-racial
& multi-cultural local environment, Korean Press will present itself as a
reliable news provider and a marketing & promotional platform via
its on-off line counters.
