HOW DO I CAPTURE CANDIDATE BIOMETRICS
Please Note that you are required to use only Digital Persona U.are.U 4500 finger print reader
Ensure fingerprints scanner is attached to your PC before registration.
After candidate data has been inserted accordingly into their respective boxes, and they have been
confirmed ok; upon clicking ‘Submit entries’, you will be presented with the window shown below
The fingerprint scanner automatically starts and the candidate is expected to enroll two fingers.
Steps
The candidate places the first thumb firmly on the scanner and removes it; upon successful capture,
the user interface will change to the window below
Now the window is expecting the same finger to be captured again for confirmation.
The candidate places the same finger firmly again and removes it, the interface will automatically
change to the window shown below
At this stage, the next thumb is expected because the instruction says ‘Place Next finger’ and
‘Fingerprint Remaining is 1’. The same process is required to be repeated for the next thumb.
The candidate places the next thumb firmly and removes it from the scanner, upon finger capture,
the interface will change to the window below
Confirmation of the second finger is now needed
The candidate places the second thumb firmly and removes it from the scanner; upon finger
capture, the application automatically completes the process and presents successful alert as shown
below
Note: If for any reason, a candidate places a wrong finger for confirmation, you will be presented with
‘Enrollment failed’ error and the capture process will need to be restarted
