is an integral part of the fabric of our community.
Twenty one years ago, I joined the Opportunity Enterprises family in the human
resources department. My charge was to hire and develop the very best team to
inspire, challenge, encourage, and support the people we serve. In September,
I humbly accepted the position of CEO, and my commitment to this charge is
even stronger. 

We Are Growing
As we reflect on 2014 at Opportunity Enterprises, it was
truly a year of celebration and transition, a year of progress
and commitment.
MOST OF ALL, it was another year for all of us associated with OE to work
together toward the goal of maximizing self-sufficiency and enriching the quality
of life for children and adults with disabilities across Northwest Indiana.
With your unwavering support, in the last year, the program participants and
staff of Opportunity Enterprises achieved amazing results:
• Sixty individuals with disabilities found employment in the community.
• Three hundred people got to work, to medical appointments, and to visit
their families using our transportation services.

• Two hundred families reconnected and rested knowing that their child
with disabilities was safe and having fun in our respite services.
• One hundred fifty individuals with disabilities joined our family
of workers, learners, artists, popcorn makers, janitorial professionals,
and paper shredders.
• And now 500 people proudly serve our participants as Opportunity
Enterprises employees.
While the numbers, statistics, and financial position of the organization are all
impressive, there is nothing more important to us as a Board of Directors than
the quality of experience for the men and women who choose Opportunity
Enterprises for their services. 

We Are “All About Kids”
All About Kids provides early intervention services in a coordinated
manner to children aged birth to three—the timeframe during
which human learning and development are most rapid.
THE FIRST THREE years of a child’s life are an important period of growth
and development. This is when infants and toddlers with a developmental delay or
disability need special help to reach their full potential. The services and supports
in OE’s Early Intervention program, All About Kids, are based on clinically
proven techniques that are designed to reduce or eliminate a child’s need for
supports later in life.
GROUP ACTIVITIES
All About Kids seeks to promote a coordinated, family-focused service delivery
system for infants and toddlers from birth to three years that have a significant
developmental delay, a physical or developmental disability or have the risk factors
for a delay or disability. We are dedicated to making sure children in our programs
take the first steps they need in getting the specialized help they deserve. Their
needs and desires are taken into consideration to help them reach their highest
potential, in a loving and caring environment.
Toddlers Group, Ages 2 years, 3 m-3 years
At All About Kids, we offer four kinds of therapeutic programs: physical,
developmental, occupational and speech. We also offer several group sessions
throughout the week.
Threes Group, Ages 3-4 years
Partners in Play, Ages 18-27 months
A Parent and Me Group, F. 9-10
A fun and interactive time promoting
imitation, motor, sensory and play
skills development.
