Creative and Academic Journal, St. George Campus
The Spectatorial is a journal for the perpetuation and
dissemination of speculative fiction, genre fiction, mythology,
and folklore. We use "speculative fiction" as an umbrella term to
refer to fantasy, science fiction, horror, magical realism-anything and everything that contains some element of the
imaginary, the fantastic, or the unreal. Our goal is to elaborate
on the importance of the "untrue" in modern society, and to
create a space for the largest lies of literature.
We produce two to three submissions each year. Submissions
for our first journal open in mid-September and close in late
November or early December; submissions for our second
journal open in January and close in mid-February. We accept
nonfiction work for our blog year-round.

WRITERS’ COOP
The Writers' Co-op is a writing and editing group
based out of the Hart House Literary and Library
Committee that serves to provide a safe and open
space for writers - experienced or novice - to share
their thoughts, ideas and opinions on literature.
Although there are select topics in prose and poetry
for the weekly meetings, the Writers' Co-op is an
informal group, where drop-ins are welcome and
suggestions for future topics are considered. The
Writers' Co-op Coordinators also serve as liaisons
between the students of the writing community and
the Literary and Library Committee, so if there's a
literary event you'd like to see happen, they're the ones
to talk to. Whether you're interested in sonnets or want
someone to edit yours, the
Writers' Co-op is the premium
place to be. Like the Writers'
Co-op Page on Facebook for
upcoming events.
