Each year we strive for perfection and with our new designer, Rosie Hart, I think we’re pretty much
there, I hope you agree. We are ably supported by a fantastic team of volunteers listed overleaf
plus the countless others who aren’t named.
All are talented artists exhibiting in this fantastic trail, do show your appreciation of their hard
work by visiting as many as you can, including the venues on the edges and in Whatley our village
venue, they are often some of the best! Thanks too for the support from local businesses with
advertising, sponsorship and venues.
Many artists gladly take commissions and have work for sale but may not have credit card
facilities, do make sure you have a bit of cash (safely) available just in case you see that perfect
piece, because you will you know!

My paintings depict the world around me
in snapshot format; I am often inspired by
unglamorous scenarios, am especially interested
in shape, colour and form and work mainly in oil.
Paintings, gicleé prints and cards available of
Frome and other more far flung places in striking,
bold colours and original designs.
Painting in oil, I enjoy the relationship of objects
within a composition. The light and tones
compliment the subject matter. I try to light a
painting as I would a photograph.
Amy’s unique work is renowned in Frome and
the surrounding area. Colourful semi-abstract
townscapes combine recognisable streets and
rooftops, with imaginary dreamlike cubism.

Jo Burnell is part of the Cygnet Gallery in
Shaftesbury. Jo’s handthrown earthenware
pottery is decorated with lively colourful designs
inspired by nature.
The work is vessel based; simple forms or more
intricate textured pieces. The form is the starting
point; inspiration for the surface is drawn from
seashore colours and textures.
Lindsay Keir is part of ‘The Cygnet Gallery’ in
Shaftesbury. She paints the natural world in
a variety of mixed media often incorporating
highlights of gold and silver leaf.
Zara’s work reflects the world around her both
figuratively & in abstract form. Her paintings
are themed and textural, using a rich and
atmospheric palette.

As a colourist painter I transform what I see into
a mosaic of shapes and colour. Recent work has
been inspired by trees, water and rocks from
Somerset, Tasmania, and Malaysia.
Fiona uses the camera & technology as her
‘paint’ to create Fine Art which is often abstract,
contemporary, highly colourful and will change
your perceptions of photography.
Domestic stoneware pottery including mugs,
jugs, bowls and plates, mainly glazed in rich and
subtle blues.
Stoneware pottery ranging from domestic
ware to sculptural pots. Prints of Etchings are
landscape inspired. Both mediums explore
distinctive texture and colour.
