AURORA PRESENTS
S TAR B URST
Celebrate with us
We are celebrating the 10th anniversary of our school this year and
to mark this special occasion we are hosting our very own and first
ever interschool cultural fest STARBURST. One whole, grand fun
filled day of festivities.
This is the first affair of this kind and this magnitude in the whole of
Navi Mumbai. Providing a platform for students to compete with
peers, a place where students can showcase their talents and skills
through a wide array of events. A place where students can move
away from monotony! Where they can have fun! A fest of the
students, for the students and by the students! Organised and
presented to you by the North Point School Alumni Association
"Aurora".
1
The interschool festival calendar has begun. Participating schools will
compete in 7 events to win one glorious trophy. Starburst will host
some of the most prestigious schools from all over Navi Mumbai.
The events include fine arts, literary arts, performing arts, sports and
more.
Set for the 29th of JUNE, STARBURST promises one day of high-energy
events and performances.
All the details with regard to registration and all the queries will be
answered on the registered phone numbers (page 12). Identity cards
will be given to the schools for the respective participants, teachers and
non-participants, after registration of events.
2
GENERAL RULES :
Each student can participate in not more than 2 events, provided
H
the timings for the events do not coincide.
Participants should refer to the schedule on page 11 for detailed
H
timings of events before entering their names for multiple events.
Kindly note that the schedule may be subject to change on the final
day.
Each teacher, participant and non-participant should have a valid
H
STARBURST identity card.
A maximum of 6 teachers may accompany the contingent on the day.
H
Only students from class 6 and above can participate in the events.
H
A maximum of 10 non-participants can come from a school. In case
H
the number of non-participants exceeds 10, a fee of Rs.50/- extra nonparticipant shall be applicable.
The trophies will be awarded on the basis of the following point
H
system :
• FIRST PLACE
: 10 POINTS
• SECOND PLACE : 7 POINTS
• THIRD PLACE
: 5 POINTS
• PARTICIPATION : 2 POINTS
In case of a tie, both the teams will be awarded the same number of
H
points.
Absenteeism relates only to those events for which a school has
H
registered its participants in advance but has failed to participate in
the event (this is different from non-participation where a school has
not registered for the event. No points will be deducted for nonparticipation)
To avoid these negative points, a non-participant or another
H
participant can substitute for an absentee by reporting at the venue
of the event with the teacher-in-charge.
3
Every participant should report to the respective 'event heads' at the
H
venue at least 15 minutes prior the scheduled time of the event.
The entire contingent must report together at 8am on the day.
H
No participant will be allowed into the school premises later
during the day.
No member of the contingent (participating /non-participating) shall
H
enter the school in their school uniform or with their school ID
card.
Participants should not reveal their school identity during the course
H
of the event.
The judge's decision for all the events at STARBURST shall be final,
H
binding and not subject to question.
Disciplinary action will be taken against students indulging in any
H
kind of misconduct/vandalism. In either/both cases, the school
responsible will be penalized.
