JAMP Pharma
acquires
Laboratoire Suisse
JAMP Pharma, through its subsidiary Wampole, announces
the acquisition of well-known Quebec-based natural products
company, Laboratoire Suisse. As a result, JAMP Pharma adds
another company to its portfolio in the natural health product
sector.
“JAMP Pharma continues to grow strongly. Only a few months
after announcing the creation of Agila-Jamp, a joint venture
specializing in injectable generic drugs, we’re closing an
important transaction which will allow us to increase our
presence in pharmacies in Canada,” said Louis Pilon, CEO,
JAMP Pharma.
Laboratoire Suisse has been in business for more than 25 years.
The company manufactures and packages well-known natural
health products including FlorabileTM, Swical EnergyTM and
ArtrikorTM. It remains one of the only Canadian pharmaceutical
companies to offer products in glass ampoules to its customers.
Those and other products have allowed Laboratoire Suisse
to build an enviable reputation in the natural health product
sector.
Laboratoire Suisse will operate as an independent subsidiary of
Wampole. Its products will continue to be sold under existing
trademarks. However, JAMP Pharma will invest in those brand
names to ensure their long term growth.
The acquisition of Laboratoire Suisse brings the number
of employees at JAMP Pharma to nearly 100 employees. Its
revenues now stand at approximately 50 million dollars.

Jason recently joined the company as Director of Sales for the Ontario
region. He is responsible for leading the team of representatives
appointed to that territory. What drives him the most in his job is the
entrepreneurial environment that JAMP represents. As he describes,
« this is a fast paced, dynamic space where we strive to partner with
Pharmacists and health care practitioners to provide them the highest
level service so they can deliver the best possible care to Canadians ».
For Jason, attitude is the key to succes. Focus on what we can change
and don’t waste a minute on things that are outside of our control.
Being able to truly listen to the needs of his partners and develop
innovative solutions brings him personal fulfilment.
Q. Do you practice a sport or physical activity that you particularly enjoy?
A. I’ve played competitive soccer since I was 4 and when I’m feeling
overly confident I get out on the golf course.
Q. What is your favourite past-time or what are you passionate about?
A. Family. Health. Learning and personal development. When I take
a break from trying to improve how healthcare is delivered to
Canadians, I’m heavily focused on family activities with my beautiful
wife and daughter, doing something health and/or exercise related or
learning a new topic.
Q. Do you have a crazy dream or a special activity that you would like to
accomplish one day?
A. I’d like to travel by motorcycle to all four corners of North America.
Might have to wait until retirement for this one but its on the list!
