Play is critical to the healthy
development of all children.
Unfortunately, millions of children
do not have access to the tools of
play – toys.
Others face traumatic
circumstances including sickness,
placement in foster care, the
uncertainty and stress of
having parents in the military,
or natural disasters.
The toys we provide give them
comfort and send a clear
message: we care!
In 2013, thanks to our donors,
the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF)
provided toys to more than 3
MILLION children who would have
otherwise gone without.
We also granted hundreds of
thousands of dollars to worthy
charities to improve the lives of
at-risk and disadvantaged
children.

“We were able to disseminate 300 toys and books to the child victims we serve in Monroe County, in
southern Indiana. Over 100 of our [CASA volunteer] Advocates flocked to the office, picking and choosing
just the right toy for their CASA child. It was definitely Christmas in July! On behalf of all the volunteer
advocates and the children, thank you!”

disorders. Gratefully, generous foundations like the Toy Industry Foundation are making it possible for us to
provide the intense therapy they need. We’re seeing 84% or better of children resolve all symptoms of drug
and alcohol exposure by age 3 and 92% are hitting their expected developmental milestones.”

also experiencing abuse and neglect in the home. We found that play therapy is extremely beneficial to
