Verona, NY - Tactical Conference
CE EN ER DE NF UI CO G 2009 Expo and Conference Co-hosted by the City of Utica Police Department APRIL 28-30, 2009 Turning Stone Resort & Casino - Verona, NY Welcome to the Turning Stone Resort & Casino and the 2009 NYTOA Tactical Expo and Conference It is our pleasure to welcome each of you to the Turning Stone Resort & Casino and the 2009 New York Tactical Expo and Conference. The NYTOA is proud to bring you this outstanding annual training event which is a culmination of what the NYTOA is all about: training, sharing information and networking with our peers and companies who make our jobs safer and more effective. Once again, we have brought together an exceptional instructor cadre and conference training agenda. Based on your feedback after last year’s conference we have increased the number of instructor level training slots from 40 to 140, added additional hands-on training tracks, and now have shuttle buses to get you to off-site training locations. Thank you for your input! We have expanded the vendor show and increased the number of giveaways for attendees. We are continuing the hourly booth giveaways as we did in previous years. In addition, each attendee will receive a postcard-sized raffle ticket with the logos and booth numbers of 11 gold sponsors. Take this card to each participating sponsor to be validated. When the entire card is completed, write your name, agency and phone number on the back and place it in the raffle drum at the NYTOA store. We will draw the winners at 2pm on Wednesday inside the vendor show. Your completed punch card will give you a chance to win a 37’’ LCD flat screen television (1st prize), a Blu-Ray player (2nd prize) or a $100 Best Buy gift card (3rd prize). We are excited to continue our successful Vendors, Members and Instructors Reception this year. This year’s reception will be on Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Showroom and will feature: networking, dinner, open bar and the comedy of Donnell Rawlings “Ashy Larry” from the “Dave Chappelle Show.” You will also see a noticeable difference in the spread we have prepared for the free lunch on Wednesday at 12:30pm offered in the vendor show. The NYTOA Board of Directors would like to thank Douglas D. Sandbrook, Charles Tyree, New York State Office of Homeland Security, Deputy Chief Mike Bailey, Deputy Chief Mark Williams, Public Safety Commissioner Daniel LaBella, the Utica Police Department, members of the Utica / New Hartford Emergency Response Team and all of the agencies and volunteers that made this conference possible. When you see these dedicated members, let them know how grateful you are for their hard work. This conference would not be successful without them. The Board also would like to thank Lenco, Patriot3, Point Blank Body Armor, Paca Body Armor, The Armored Group, Elbeco, Tru-Spec, Zistos, American Innovations, 5.11, Combined Tactical Systems, Safariland, Pictometry, A.L.S. Technologies, American Defense Systems (ADSI) and Mar-Vel for their support of this year’s conference. Without them many of the extra hospitality functions and courses could not be offered. Please support these companies and thank them when you visit their booth in the expo hall. Enjoy the conference. Stay safe and train hard, Larry L.
