This is accomplished via a combination of case-based lectures and discussions featuring leading experts as presenters and panelists. All presentations will be based on current evidence-based guidelines, research and patient-centered outcomes. LEARNER OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to: • Distinguish between various forms of pulmonary hypertension and delineate the major indications for therapy in PAH • Assess new insights in pulmonary hypertension pathophysiology and emerging clinical trials that will shed light on therapeutics • Apply different rationales and considerations when initiating PAH therapy based on findings from recent clinical studies • Show reasons for hospitalization in PAH and complications of PAH management in urgent care situations • Outline new findings in international epidemiology of pulmonary hypertension • Examine the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to scleroderma-associated PAH using a case-based format • Explain the merits of initiating PH Therapy in patients with Group 2 (left-sided heart disease related) Pulmonary Hypertension REQUIREMENTS In order to successfully complete this activity and receive a certificate you must (1) sign in; (2) remain for the activity; (3) complete and submit an evaluation form. Partial credit/contact hours will be awarded for attending one or more presentations. Certificates or statements of credits are emailed approximately four to six weeks after the activity pending successful completion of required documentation.
