WSU Saxophone professor and Assistant Director of Bands Dr. Shelley Jagow was in California this fall to present workshops for J.W. Pepper and was a featured band and saxophone clinician in Quebec. In the coming months, Jagow will serve as the High School Honor Band Conductor for Louisiana District VII and Ohio District XI. In February, Dr. Jagow will present a clinic at OMEA with Lakota West HS Band. John Kurokawa, WSU instructor of clarinet and principal clarinetist with the Dayton Philharmonic, and the Prestige Clarinet Quartet will be presenting their clinic “Clarinets BIG and small—How to Utilize them ALL!” at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic Friday, December 19th. This summer WSU oboe instructor Kathy DeGruchy and bassoon instructor Bill Jobert look forward to teaching alongside the great teachers and performers of the Double or Nothing Reed Company at double reed camp at WSU July 13–17.
