Since the inception of the delivery of program services back in the summer of 2014, the Petawawa Parks and Recreation Team has been working diligently at designing and implementing creative and interesting recreation programs for residents of all ages. It is our mission to provide residents with leisure opportunities that enhance the social, cultural and physical well-being of our great community. This guide is full of exceptional programming, activities, events and attractions. The Town of Petawawa strives to provide unforgettable, yet affordable recreational activities for every age, ability and demographic. The unique, diverse facilities that the Town of Petawawa has, allows for numerous events, programs and activities year-round. The Petawawa Civic Centre and the Petawawa Public Library continue to be the central location for our many community recreational, social, and cultural activities. These recreational programs, social, and cultural activities, are the cornerstone to creating a sense of community in Petawawa and they bring people of all walks of life together to foster healthy community relationships. Petawawa, Ontario K8H 3H5 PROGRAM POLICIES REFUNDS, TRANSFERS OR WITHDRAWS All requests for refunds or withdraws must be made in writing. A $20 administration fee plus a fee for classes attended will be deducted from all approved refunds. Refunds will be processed according to the date the request is received by the Parks and Recreation department. Please allow three to five weeks for refunds to be processed. The Parks and Recreation department reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient registration. Town of Petawawa Parks and Recreation will withhold processing of all program registration until the replacement payment has cleared and payment of NSF charges have been made in full. Please note: Program registration will not take place at any classes. NSF cheques are to be repaid in 1 of the following 3 ways: 1. Cash 2. Certified Cheque 3. Money Order PRORATE POLICY Classes will not be prorated for any reason. CONFIRMATION Submission of registration applications does not necessarily mean acceptance in the requested program. The Town of Petawawa Parks and Recreation department is offering all new unique and fun recreation programs every season. We are looking for part-time/ casual positions for individuals interested in offering programs and activities for all ages in a variety of specialties. Share your skills and knowledge with others and do what you enjoy! VOLUNTEERING IN PETAWAWA You can make a difference in your community! Whether you can spend a few hours a year or a day a week volunteering it will have a direct positive impact on your community and the people in it. There are several opportunities for you to share your expertise and what you love doing from helping to make a community event a success to teaching kids art or music programs. Petawawa Civic Centre FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE The Petawawa Civic Centre Fundraising Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers committed to raising funds to finance improvements at the Petawawa Civic Centre. This group generates revenue through the operation of bars at wedding receptions and special functions held at the Petawawa Civic Centre. All of our bartenders are trained and Smart-Serve certified. The Fundraising Team is always looking for dedicated volunteers. Offering a diverse selection of unique programs, activities and events. CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS FALL PROGRAMS COOK-IE MONSTERS Kids learn the basics of cooking from hand washing to mixing.
