Living Colour albums (the second one is called Time’s Up)
will provide lots of ideas for
those of you who want to play
rock lines - but want to take influences from someone doing something
a little different. Cult Of Personality - also on the Vivid album - is my
personal favourite line by Muzz....but there are others that are nearly as
good.
There’s an interesting effect used in the first two sections (Letters A and
B). Muzz uses an effect that simulates the volume effect that you’d get if
you sounded the notes with a bow.
Here’s how the bass line lays out:
Letter A - Intro - Tempo about 80 BPM - 0.02
Letter B - Verse - 0.13
Letter C - Riff Intro - Tempo about 122 BPM - 0.44
Letter D - Verse - 1.01
Letter E - Chorus - 1.31
Letter F - Riff - 1.48
Letter G - Verse - 1.55
Letter H - Chorus - 2.27
Letter I - Chorus - 2.43
Letter J: Solo - 3.00
