Overview
TheT-ShirtCompetitionallowscompetingteamstodemonstratetheirartisticability,
creativity,andcommunicationofgraphicdesign.
Objective
TheT-shirtshouldincorporatethethemeofthe2016ASCESoutheastStudent
Conference,ResilientbyDesign:OvercomingtheUnexpected.
Eligibility
Eachuniversityisabletoenterone(1)T-shirtinthecompetition.Thereisnolimittothe
numberofstudentsthatareallowedtobeinvolvedinthedesignoftheT-shirt.Each
competingteammusthaveacaptainandapresenter.Boththecaptainandthe
presenteraretobeundergraduatestudents.
Logistics
EachteamistopresentaT-shirtalongwithadescriptionofthedesigntoapanelof
three(3)judges.EachT-shirtwillbedisplayedonthedayofthecompetition.The
descriptionofthedesignistobeincludedwhensubmittingtheT-shirtandmustnot
exceed500words.Eachdescriptionshouldclearlystatethenameofthecompeting
universityaswellasthenamesofthestudentswhocontributedtotheT-shirtdesign.
Thenameoftheuniversityandlistofparticipatingstudentswillnotbecountedtowards
themaximumwordcount.

TheT-shirtmustbescreen-printed.
Thecompetinguniversity’snamemustbeevidentinthedesignoftheT-shirt.
Judging
EachteamwillpresentitsT-shirtdesigntoapanelofthree(3)judges.TheT-shirtswill
berankedbasedonthefollowingcriteria:
1. Originality
2. DisplayofUniversityName
3. ArtisticQualityofConferenceTheme
4. EmbodimentofConferenceTheme
5. RelevancetoCivilEngineering
Disqualifications
Teamsmaybedisqualifiedatthejudges’discretioniffoundtobeinviolationofthe
regulationsstatedabove.
