Roughly the size of Rhode Island, Volusia County is about 50 miles northeast of Orlando, 60 miles north of the Kennedy Space Center, and 90 miles south of Jacksonville. DeLand is the picturesque county seat of Volusia, and Daytona Beach is one of its best known cities. Volusia has 16 cities: Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, DeBary, DeLand, Deltona, Edgewater, Holly Hill, Lake Helen, New Smyrna Beach, Oak Hill, Orange City, Ormond Beach, Pierson, Ponce Inlet, Port Orange and South Daytona.
