Chances are, you’ve noticed the little pink ribbon that has replaced the star in our logo. Or, you may have heard us use the term “Year of Hope.” In case you’ve been wondering what it all means, allow us to elaborate. In November of 2014, Be Discovered Family Rep, Laura, was diagnosed with Stage 2a breast cancer. To say we were terrified is an understatement. Laura worked with our Disney World Dance Intensive group in early December. Four days later, she underwent a bilateral mastectomy and began a long treatment to ensure that her Cancer is a thing of the past. We are happy to report that Laura is doing very well and plans to join us as usual for our ‘Summer of Hope’ programs! As many other women in her shoes have found, one of the best ways to fight such an ugly illness is to remain hopeful! Hope can take you to places you never imagined! To mark such a remarkable year, we wanted to show our dancers that the power of hope is undeniable! And thus was born our Year of Hope! Our goal during this Year of Hope is to give new opportunities to as many dancers as possible, which is why, more than ever, we are doing all we can to pay it forward! We’ve had and will continue to offer incredible scholarships, contests, special rate plans, new workshops, program updates, and more surprises to come throughout the year. We look forward to having your dancer (and your family) join us during this extra special year!! Laura (Be Discovered Family Rep) and Diana (Be Discovered Founder and Director) in 2014
