Renters must attend a two-hour private lesson to learn how to properly rig up the sailboat and skipper it. Already certified? Please call lake staff at 720.880.1300. At the completion of the lesson, the individual will receive a sailboat rental card. Sailboat rental must be scheduled with the boat staff and is only available during regular rental hours. 1.Boats are first come first served. 2.Life jackets must be worn at all times when boating. No exceptions. 3.All private paddle boarders must wear a life jacket at all times. 4.Any children under age 13 must have an adult (18+) in the boat/ canoe with them. 5.No alcohol on boats, rental or private. 6.Everyone must read/follow rules posted at the Boat House. 7.Lake House staff reserves the right to ask any patron to vacate the premises that is not following lake rules. The lake will be open for boat rental seven days a week (May 29 - Aug 16) weather permitting. Fishing at Evergreen Lake Hours are from sunrise to sunset. A Colorado State fishing license is required. All state laws must be obeyed. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout. All legal, live and artificial baits may be used in the Lake. NO live minnows. The Lake House does not sell fishing licenses. Tackle will be available at boat rental. Fishing is not allowed directly around the Lake House. Because of the concerts’ popularity, parking is limited, with 50 VIP spots available at the Lake House for $15 each or discounted rate when you purchase the entire series. (Call 720.880.1300 to reserve; spaces are first come, first served.) Attendees are encouraged to carpool and/or park at a satellite lot (Wulf Rec Center or Christ the King Church) and take a free shuttle. No glass bottles, please. Pets are permitted on leash. By state law, no higher than 3.2% alcohol is allowed in the park. Private boaters are not allowed to launch boats during large events. Evergreen Lake also hosts a number of other community events. Please note: Sections of the lake trail are not conducive to wheelchair and stroller use and are not to ADA standards. Leash laws are enforced by Jefferson County Animal Control for the park and trails. Private Boats require a park pass or day pass prior to launching. Due to higher safety measures at the lake, private boaters will be charged a daily fee of $4 or have the option of purchasing a season Park Pass for $35. These fees help to ensure boaters are taking proper safety measures before launching. Please check in with boat rental staff prior to launching your boat. All boats must stay within boundaries set by lake staff and abide by all lake rules. Gas powered engines are not allowed on the lake; only electric trolling motors are permitted. Life jackets are required for each person in the boat, must be accessible and may be rented at boat rental for $5 per use. Private boaters may load and unload on the lake frontage road, but parking on the frontage road is strictly prohibited. The frontage road will be unavailable for use during large community events (such as the Summer Concert Series). Duncan Family YMCA in Arvada, where he was Executive Director. Brian has been directing the YMCA in Arvada since 2008. He began his YMCA career in Muncie, IN, in 1990 and moved to join the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver in 1997. He held several different positions during his time at the YMCA. His office is at Buchanan -- feel free to drop in and say hello! An Evergreen resident, Heather enjoys spending time in nature and has a passion for all things related to healthy living. Jason was responsible for streamlining and implementing processes to accommodate a community growing to 51,000 residents. Jason received his MBA in Finance & Accounting in 2008 from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is a proud father of three children, and enjoys many outdoor activities in Colorado. In his free time, Jason likes running and completed his first half marathon last fall. Swim Lessons EPRD’s swim lesson program has three components: (1) Adult classes; (2) Preschool (PS) classes for ages 8 months to 5 years, including Parent-Tot, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced PS; and (3) Level classes for ages 5 1/2 and up including Levels 1-2, 3 and 4-5. Each component teaches progressive skills. As students advance to higher levels, they refine their strokes and build endurance. Aquatic Parent-Tot (ages 8 mos-5 years) No prerequisite skills required for students who have little or no water experience (this includes the apprehensive child). Parent accompanies student in water and learns basic water adjustment skills to help teach student. Enjoy the fun aquatic environment. Infants must wear swim diapers. T-shirts are allowed. Aquatic Beginner PS (ages 3-5) No prerequisite skills required for students who have little or no water or lesson experience and need instructor assistance to perform skills. We compete in the nationally based USA Gymnastics league; participation on team is by invitation only. Team workout schedules vary for each group. Gymnasts and parents will receive a workout schedule from their coaches. Girls USAG Team Program Intermediate Girls 2 (ages 6-17) An 85-minute class for girls passing Intermediate 1, with instructor approval. Developmental/Pre-Team gymnasts are invited to join our successful USAG competitive program. Gymnasts must commit to practice a minimum of 7 hours per week. USAG offers opportunities for competition at levels 3-10. The competition season for levels 3-5 is in the fall. Levels 6-10 Jan - May, Xcel competition is in the early spring.
