As an independent senior-service organization that cannot rely on taxing dollars, these donations provide funding to meet the evolving needs of our expanding senior population. As an IRS approved charity, these donations also provide the corporation with the chance
to help us meet our mission while receiving a tax deduction as well. For more information, contact Sally at (815) 529-3797.

From Steve’s Desk
I hope this newsletter finds everyone well!! There have been lots of great activities going on at the Center as of late.
We’ve kicked off the barbeque season with our annual Memorial Day Cookout - a great time as had by all. A special thanks to
Mary Sevcik and the Note-Ables for hosting the Center’s annual Variety Show at Prairie Lakes Theater. What a great afternoon...filled with a myriad of acts, each enjoyable in their own regards. Congrats to all on a job well done...BRAVO...BRAVO!!
Our Volunteer Luncheon is scheduled for Saturday, June 25th. This is a very happy day when we get to recognize all
those who give of themselves and their talents in support of our organization and mission. The time that Center’s volunteers
contribute accounts for nearly eight (8) full-time employees. With the organization’s limited resources and commitment to investing them in programs and services to benefit the local community, our volunteers help to make this possible on a daily
basis. They are the heart and soul of the Frisbie Senior Center. A special “Thank You” to our great volunteers.
It seems that Summer is finally upon us?!?!? As such, we hope you’ll be taking advantage of the great weather by
getting together with friends or traveling. Regardless, please be cautious of the weather, especially on the really hot days. It’s
important to stay cool and hydrated...and don’t forget to check on your neighbor every now and again.
As always, let me (us) know if there is anything you’d like to suggest/discuss..
That’s all for now…
Steve

MAY get help from. This also includes Seniors Free Transit Ride and License Plate Discount. All applications must be submitted online.

SIGHTSEEINNG: William McNutt commented on the cost limitations of
day trip offerings and suggested using smaller busses or working with
other senior centers and exploring “free’ venue options like museums
and providing options for “brown bag” lunching. With the recent transition of the Trips Coordinator, we are excited to be exploring more options for trip variety as well as cost considerations. Stay tuned for what’s
