This awesome Deluxe kit includes enough stuff for hours and hours of Shrinky Dinks®
fun! With all these components you can create an amazing array of bracelets, necklaces,
key chains, hair decorations, gift tags, invitations, bookmarks, and more.
Color, Cut and Punch
1. The shrink plastic has a smooth side and a rough side. Using the pencils included in your kit, color on the rough
side only.
2. Cut out the images along the dotted lines. Do not trim too close to the designs. There should be extra space
around the designs to help in the shrinking process.
3. Use the hole punch to make a hole at the top of the design. When punching a hole, position the tool far
enough away from the edge so there is extra plastic above the hole. If you want to turn some of your Shrinky
Dinks into stick-on decorations, you will not need to punch the hole. Just trim off the hole punch area on the
Shrinky Dink plastic.

Now you are ready to bake the ®Shrinky Dinks in a toaster oven or a conventional oven. Follow the directions
below carefully. Let them dance, curl, flip, shrink and flatten. If you remove them too soon, your Shrinky
Dinks won’t shrink! Place them back in the oven until the shrinking process is complete.
Warning – Safety first. ADULT SUPERVISION is required when baking Shrinky Dinks.
• Preheat the oven to 350° (175° C). Do not use the microwave.

• Cover your baking tray with non-stick aluminum foil. For best results do not use an air insulated cookie sheet. Place
your Shrinky Dinks on the tray with the colored side facing up. Be sure they are at least 3 inches from each other.
• Bake for 1 to 3 minutes. Watch closely, baking times may vary depending on your oven. The Shrinky Dinks will begin
to curl, move about and flatten. Do not remove them until they are flat!
• Allow 20 more seconds of baking time after all the pieces are laying flat. Ask an adult to remove the cookie sheet or
tray from the oven and place them on a heat proof surface.
• Allow the Shrinky Dinks to cool on the tray for 10 minutes. When they are cool enough to touch, use a spatula to lift
them off.
Awesome Accessories
You can dream up your own designs or look at the pictures on the box for ideas and inspiration.
There are so many things you can make with this kit. You may want to keep some and maybe give
some away.
Not sure what to do? Just follow along. These pictures and step by step
instructions will help you out.
Ribbon and Bead Necklace
• Measure out enough ribbon to fit comfortably around your neck. You will
need to add several inches so you can tie it in a bow when you are finished.
• Using the blue plastic ribbon and bead threader, thread the ribbon through the
loop, as shown below, and then add some of the brightly colored beads. Space
them out evenly. If you do not want them to move you can add a knot on
either side of the bead to hold them in place.
• Take a jump ring, pull it apart and then
place it through the hole on one of the
Shrinky Dink charms. Place the jump
ring on the ribbon and then pinch it
closed – be sure the gap is closed or the
Shrinky Dink may fall off. You can tie a
knot in the ribbon if you do not want
the Shrinky Dink to move.
• If you want to make a double string necklace you can make one string of beads on
the gel cord and one string with ribbon. Attach them at the bottom by placing the
Shrinky Dink and jump ring around both necklaces.
Helpful Hint: You can use a dot of your own craft glue over the knot and
jump ring gap to help hold it in place.
Ribbon Bracelets
You can also use this same technique above to make a ribbon and bead bracelet
to match. Measure enough ribbon to fit around your wrist – add a few extra
inches so you can tie it off with a bow.
Hair clips
Use the adhesive back foam circles to attach Shrinky Dinks charms to
your hair clips.You can also add strings of beads and ribbons to the
hair clips - just hang them from the Shrinky Dinks.
Clip-on Key chain
Use the jump rings to attach beads and
Shrinky Dink Bobbles to your key chain.
Open the back pack clip and attach it to
your purse, messenger bag or back pack.
Bookmarks
You can make a fancy book mark for your teacher,
librarian or favorite book lover. Just add Shrinky
Dink charms to your ribbons and beaded gel
cord. Tie them onto your book mark (this is the
long skinny, scalloped edge card). Use your pen or
the colored pencils to write a message or sketch
a picture.
Invitations
Create a one of a kind invitation using your colored pencils and
the Shrinky Dink designs. Attach them with the adhesive backed
foam circles. Add a ribbon accent to the top. To make it superfancy, use the punch to add extra holes around the edge. Thread
the ribbon in and out of your card
Charm Bracelets
Using the silver or pink metal charm
bracelets you can add Shrinky Dink
accents to the bracelets using jump rings.
You can use your ribbon threader to
thread the tulle ribbon in and out of
your bracelet for a different look.
Beaded Bracelets
Make oodles of stretchy bracelets using your gel cord and bead assortment.
Just thread them on and then tie the cord into a knot. Be sure to tie several
tight knots so the bracelets stay tied. Use your jump rings to add fun Shrinky
Dink accent charms.
Gift Tags
There are several colors and sizes
of printed cards included. Add
ribbons, embroidery string,
beads...whatever you can dream up.
Attach the Shrinky Dinks with the
foam circles or punch a few holes,
add a jump ring and tie them on
with ribbons or embroidery floss.
