Cattle breeds
• Angus
• Ayrshire
• Beefmaster
• Belted Galloway
• Braford
Have bigger, Droopier ears than Hereford cattle
Have more fatty humps and trashier underline
• Brahman
• Black Brangus
• Braunvieh
• Brown Swiss
• Charolais
• Gelbvieh
• Guernsey
• Hereford
• Holstein
• Jersey
• Limousin
• Maine Anjou
Maine-Anjou are red and white (sometimes black or roan) and they are horned
or polled. They are large, tall cattle, with long legs in proportion to the rest of
their body height. They are not fine boned like Limousins, but are long in body
like this breed. MA's are beefy, robust and rugged cattle, though they are not as
rugged as other breeds that were created in more adverse conditions, like
Herefords are. Maines tend to have a narrower forehead and longer heads than
Angus do.
• Polled Hereford
• Red Angus
• Red Brangus
• Santa Gertrudis
• Shorthorn
• Simmental
No other breed in the world has such a large within breed typevariation as Simmentals, so they can look very different but are still
from the same breed.
• Texas Longhorn
Horse Breeds
• Andalusian
• Appaloosa
• Arabian
• Belgian
• Buckskin
• Clydesdale
• Dutch Draft
• Dutch Warmblood
Dutch Warmbloods are leaner, less muscular horses than
Hanoverians, but are stockier than Thoroughbreds. Their necks are
also longer than a Thoroughbred’s and set higher on their
shoulders than a Thouroughbred. They come in all solid colors (can
have markings on the feet and face).
• Friesan
MUST be all black
• Hackney
Very short, upright neck, with rounded but
not large hindquarters and very straight legs.
When showing, sometimes the back legs are
posed to be stretched out.
• Hanoverian
A very thick and muscular horse compared to thoroughbreds and
dutch warmbloods. Higher set neck and more rounded
hindquarters than a thoroughbred, but shorter and thicker neck
than both thoroughbreds and dutch warmbloods. Check for the
breed brand if possible!
• Lipizzan
MUST be white or a very light gray.
Foals are born black or bay and turn
whte as they mature. Have a
downturned nose.
• Miniature Horse
Have the same proportions as horses,
but very small and “Dwarfish” looking,
so the proportions are just a little off.
• Mustang
Basically a mutt. Come in any color or pattern.
• Paint
• Palomino
• Paso Fina
Smaller and less refined
than an Andalusian.
• Percheron
• Quarter Horse
Smaller than a thoroughbred or either warmblood, with a large jay and narrow
muzzle, plus very large, rounded hindquarter. Comes in two types, for racing and
ranching. Ranch horses look like stereotypical western horses, while the racing type
is leaner and slightly taller.
• Shetland Pony
Very short and chubby with stumpy
legs, not proportional like a miniature.
• Shire
• Tennessee Walker
Tall, slightly jug headed horses. Long legs
and usually stretched out in pictures.
• Thoroughbred
Built for speed, with long, thin necks, a deep
chest, pointed hindquarters, and long legs.

• Balinese
The Balinese is a long-haired breed of
domestic cat with Siamese-style point
coloration and sapphire-blue eyes. The
Balinese is also known as the purebred
long-haired Siamese, since it originated
as a natural mutation of that breed, and
hence is essentially the same cat with a
medium-length silky coat and a
distinctively plumed tail. They can have
different colors at the dark points, from
light to dark brown.
• Birman
Birmans have a medium-sized, rectangular body with a broad face and distinct Roman
nose. Their ears are ideally as wide on the base as they are tall and should be set as much
on top of the head as on the side. The eyes are rounded and should be a deep sapphire
blue.
The Birman's fur is medium-long. Coat colour is always pointed, save for the contrasting
pure white, symmetrical "gloves" on each paw that are the trademark of the breed. Any
other spot of white on the points is considered a serious fault. The base body colour is
white to cream, with a wash of color that corresponds to the points but is much paler.
Recognized point colours are seal, chocolate, blue, lilac (a softer silver-grey), red or cream.
Tabby and tortie variations in seal, chocolate, blue or lilac are also allowed; other colours
are in development.
Check the face to distinguish from Balinese.
