to the original purchaser. The warranty covers defects in material and
workmanship. This warranty does not apply to wear items such as
brakes, steering components, u-joints, etc.., or to products sold by, but
not manufactured by ORU. Application of this warranty is subject to inspection of the product by ORU and their sole discretion. ORU is not responsible for shipping charges incurred to submit product for
inspection, or its return if the warranty is declined. This warranty does
not cover parts that have been modified, applied outside of the intended application, or subjected to abuse. This warranty applies solely
to the ORU product and does not extend to any incidental damage(s) or
incurred cost(s). No other warranties/guarantees are expressed or implied. All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original receipt,

ORU’s 100% bolt-on conversion kit includes all the necessary components to convert your 2001-‘10 GM from an independent front suspension, to a 4-link solid axle with coil over shocks. After installing this kit with our NEW Dana 60 solid axle, you
can run a larger tire (37” to 40”) with a minimum amount of lift. With the added articulation, you’ll be ready for anything the
trails have to dish out! The kit comes complete with all necessary brackets and hardware, including, 4-link, adjustable 2.5”
front coil-over shocks, front axle assembly, brake lines, rear springs and shocks. The only other items required are a complete front driveshaft and a rear driveshaft modification.

60012 IFS TO SOLID AXLE CONVERSION KIT
2001-2010 GM HD 2500-3500 4X4 and 4X2 IFS to Solid Axle Conversion Kit
This ORU bolt-on conversion kit includes all the necessary brackets to convert independent front suspension (IFS) to a solid axle system, (additional required and optional components can be found using the color coded char the next page). The solid axel system accommodates a taller
lift and larger tries while providing more articulation than IFS. The solid axle with locking hubs can be equipped with a limited slip or licking differential for greater off-road capabilities. Moving parts and maintenance are greatly reduced. For a premium ride, order one of our new “+6”
kits that utilize 6” longer front springs.
Note: This kit can also be used to convert two wheel drive 01-10 HD trucks to four wheel drive with the addition of a transger case and related components.
Kit 60012 is for use with 32.5 spring pad width axle. Fits
2001-2010 GM 2500-3500 HD, 4WD or 2WD. (Installation of
this kit will move the front axle forward 1” and add 3” of lift to
the front) (you need to include the additional 3” of lift when
choosing your spring - ex. 5.5” spring equals 8.5” total lift)

Torsion Sway Bar
ORU’s sway bar package will enhance the handling of your solid axle
conversion. The kit includes a 1.25” diameter spring steel torsion bar,
bushings, and end links with heim joints. See Chart on next page for
part numbers and applications. We recommend this kit with all
conversions.

How to Use the Chart
Selecting the components you need for an ORU Solid Axle
Conversion is as easy as matching colors. Follow these simple steps:
1) Use the Tire/Spring Size Chart (below) to determine your
proper spring height. Note the corresponding color.
Tire/Spring Size Chart
No Larger than 36” tires - 3.5” Spring
No Larger than 37” tires - 5.5” Spring
No Larger than 40” tires w/triming - 8” Spring
No Larger than 42” tires - 10” Spring
2) Choose the chart on the right that matches your desired axle
setup (Ford, or ORU).
3) Find the column heading in the chart that matches your fuel
(gas or diesel), axle type and spring specifications.
(standard or 6” longer).
4) You can select a complete ORU Solid Axle Kit, or any individual
components by matching the color from the Tire Spring Size Chart.

Other Parts Required to Complete the Conversion:
● Front axle assembly with 32 1/2” spring pad width
● Front leaft springs (88-91 Chevy Blazer or Suburban type
or ORU premium ride springs).
● Crossover Steering Kit
● Front & Rear Shocks

Installation Notes:
● Inspect the contents of the kit and read the entire instructions
before proceeding.
● We recommend this installation be pereformed by a qualified
technician.
● Torque all hardware to factory specifications.
● We recommend using red Loctite on all bolts.
● When removing wheels, support vehicle with jack stands.
● Use only factory approved fluids.
● Installation of this kit will move the center of the front axle 1
for ward.
● This kit adds 3” of lift to the advertised height of the leaf springs.
● Welding and cutting required. (Use caution during welding
operations to prevent damage to vehicle electronic components).
● This kit has no provisions for anti-lock brakes, and want to retain
them, you must purchase an ORU Dana 60 axle.
(With ABS upgrade).
● You must retain the factory 4WD electronic actuator and wiring to
prevent unnecessary activation of the dash lights and for the
factory transfer case to function properly (secure the unit under
the hood in a suitable location).

to match your factory transfer case front output. (For 6-lug application you must
change knuckles to GM Dana 44 or 10 bolt).
● 73-87 Chevy Dana 44 or 10 bolt front axle/8lug or 6 lug/32.5 spring pad width/
differential on passenger side (must change transfer case to a right front output).
● 73-91 Chevy Dana 60/32.5 spring pad width/8 lug (must change transfer case
to a right front output).

DANA 60 AXLE with 36.5 Inch SPRING PAD WIDTH
This ORU bolt-on conversion kit includes all the necessary brackets to convert independent front suspension (IFS) to a solid axle system. The
solid axle system accommodates a taller lift and larger tires along with more articulation than IFS. The solid axle with locking hubs can be
equipped with a limited slip or locking differential for greater off-road capabilities. Moving parts and maintenance are greatly reduced. Our new
“ +6 “ kits utilize 6” longer front springs for a premium ride.
Kit 60011 is a 36.5 spring pad width kit 88-98 GM
1500/2500/3500, 4X4 only. (Installation of this kit will move
the front axle forward 1” and add 3” of lift to the front) (you
need to include the additional 3” of lift when choosing your
spring - ex. 6” spring equals 9” total lift)

GM IFS LEVELING KITS
ORU has designed a proper way to level 1500 and 2500 series trucks. Cranking up the factory torsion bars and cogs overloads the adjusters
and limits suspension travel, creating a harsher ride and accelerating front-end wear. The ORU system uses special re-indexed torsion-bar adjusting cogs that level the vehicle without compromising suspension performance and Bilstein 5100 Series shocks for ultimate ride quality and
front end wheel travel. With the kit installed, you can use up to 33” diameter tires*. Installation is straight forward and can be accomplished in

HYDRAULIC RAM ASSIST
Low speed maneuvering in tight spaces with large tires, can
require more input at the steering wheel than most are able,
(or willing) to give. ORU’s Ram-Assist system puts additional
hydraulic force on the tie rod, which alleviates stress at the
steering box and frame. With our ram-assist installed, you’ll
be able to turn 44” tires at a dead stop! The system retains
all your factory steering linkage, which makes it legal for
street use in all states. Most kits require minor welding and
a steering box core charge.

DIFFERENTIAL COVERS
TRAC BAR KIT
This kit relocates the trac bar to provide proper steering angle when
used with ORU’s crossover steering system. It can also be used as an
upgrade to existing crossover steering systems. Constructed of welded,
laser-cut, heavy steel. The kit consists of: lower spring plates with
raised bumpstop pads, extended length polyurethane bumpstops, dual
shock mounting plates, trac bar bracket, adjustable trac bar, and grade
8 hardware.

REAR AIR OVERLOAD KIT
This kit is designed to regain the load
carrying capabilities that are lost when
installing softer “non-overload” type rear lift
springs on ‘99-2006 Super Dutys with single
rear wheels*. The mounting plates are made
from 1/4” laser cut steel and powder coated
black for great looks and corrosion resistance.
The dual bellow airbags are rated at over 2000
lbs. each! Use the diagram above to determine
which spacer kit (required) to order with your
airbag kit. Must have aftermarket lifted springs.
* Will not work with factory u-bolts/see diagram for required
exposed threads to install lower mounting plate.

REVERSE SHACKLE KITS
ORU’s Shackle Reversal Kit for 1986-1997 Ford F-350 relocates the
front spring shackles to the rear of the springs. This allows the
spring to move freely as it articulates without the opposing force encountered with the shackle located in the factory position at the
front of the spring. The kit provides approximately 2 1/2” of lift and
significantly improves ride quality. Longer front shocks & pitman arm
(not included) are required - see application below. (Will not work
with IFS suspension).

HYDRAULIC RAM ASSIST
Low speed maneuvering in tight spaces with large tires, can require
more input at the steering wheel than most are able, (or willing) to give.
ORU’s Ram-Assist system puts additional hydraulic force on the tie rod,
which alleviates stress at the steering box and frame. With our ram-assist installed, you’ll be able to turn 44” tires at a dead stop! the system
retains all your factory steering linkage, which makes it legal for street
use in most states. Most kits require minor welding and a steering box
core charge.

Stock steering components are inadequate for trucks with raised suspension. Severe angle creates reduced turning radius and can result in
binding and broken rod ends. ORU’s Crossover Steering Kits solve these
