In 1945 Max Gort-Barten - the great German entrepreneur - founded Dualit
in England. He is the designer behind the first Dualit product - a six-slice
toaster with a built-in timer (the first of its kind in 1952), which is a
resemblance of today’s Vario toaster. Dualit has grown and expanded since
then by gradually improving and extending the product range of
commercial toasters and by adding other related products.
Dualit constantly focuses on innovation and today it produces a range of
kitchen and home appliances, which remain firmly rooted in the values
that Max planted in the company culture since the very beginning.
Max’s son Leslie Gort-Barten is in charge of the company today.
Leslie is well known for creating reliable, well-engineered products, which
are instantly recognizable and carry a nostalgic retro feeling.
Dualit´s philosophy relies on quality, environment and responsibility in all
aspects of the company.
Excel is incredibly honoured to represent Dualit and we appreciate the
collaboration with a shared focus on quality. By representing Dualit we
consider ourselves as important ambassador and that is why it is essential
to share the common expectations regading the standard for quality,
function and design.
Excel has been the exclusive distributors for Dualit in Denmark since 1999.

Westermann & Co. was founded in 1867 in Germany as a family enterprise
based in Sauerland. Today Wesco has a company history of more than 140
years.
The brand Wesco stands for metal manufacturing in the classical
manner - a combination of excellent German quality, exclusive design and
high-tech functionality.
Soon after its establishment in 1867, the company specialised in the
processing of metal plates for household goods and has since continuously
extended the range of its products.
Today, the range of household goods includes more than fifty waste bins in
various designs. Some of these products are modelled on the historic
precursors, which have inspired the use of classic design elements in the
development of modern products. Wesco design is characterised by the company’s long-standing experience
with metal as working material. It states: “Because we are familiar with the
material we work with, we are able to shape it in a new and exciting way.”
Wesco has been a part of Excel since 2007 and presents conformity and
stability to our customers. You can always count on Wesco design-,
quality- and service-wise. Therefore we at Excel worship the organization

Excel A/S is a medium-sized Danish company, which was founded in the
early 1990’s. Excel offers innovative and modern design- and artwork
products primarily appealing to high-end boutiques.
With exciting and innovative suppliers from around the world and a fast
growing private label range, Excel plays an interesting role in the design
market. The focal philosophy of Excel’s design can be defined by quality,
simplicity and differentiation.
At Excel we seek to create design products we believe the market is
missing.
Today we are distributing to the Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Asian
and Baltic markets.
The company’s headquarter is placed in Copenhagen together with its
showroom and the office, where sales, customer services, marketing and
PR is handled. Apart from that we have agents handling the markets in
Sweden, Norway and the Baltic market.

Seletti is a story of vision and evolution. It was established in 1964, in
Cicognara, Mantova by Romano Seletti, who was an expert in international
business. Since 1972 Romano travelled extensively to the Far East,
especially across China. He shared the road with Luigi Goglio and this new
venture allowed Romano to become a true pioneer in the import of
products for home: accessories in bamboo, tableware and cloths – typical
Chinese products of the era. The next generation of Seletti family
(Stefano and Miria) brought new energy to the business. Stefano Seletti,
aged 17 and still a student, started to accompany his father on his business
trips to China, India and Thailand, which enriched him with new horizons
and cultures that made a lasting impression on his future, both
professionally and personally.
Expanding new horizons and new ideas, Stefano Seletti began to “play
around” with new materials - the fine porcelain and borosilicate tableware
collection “ Estetico Quotidiano” is a great example (the name of the
collection is also a “statement” of the company’s new philosophy).
It has become a classic and has repositioned single use items into fine
object pieces.” Enthusiasm, passion, creativity and experimentation - the
Seletti family over time has created a brand recognized all over the world
with series of collections that have revealed design classics.
The company placed its headquarters in Cicognara, Italy.
As Stefano states “the process is evolving once again we have gone from
large quantities of large distribution systems to small quantities of
selected designs. Today, we have reinvented the process. My attention is focused on making popular products with high level of creativity and
artistry, at a reasonable price.”
Today, Seletti is working with young Italian and international designers,
who are quickly making their own mark, the desire is to create a group
that can grow and evolve together, a challenge, that, so far, is producing
great results. For us, this is (r)evolution.”

The founder of Dulton is Sasamoto Yasuaki. Mr. Sasamoto was born in 1952.
He studied Architecture in University of Japan and after graduating, he
moved to The US. Later on he began designing small house accessories
and afterwards designed watches for a Swiss watch company. Finally, he
established ‘DULTON CO., LTD.’ in Japan in 1989.
Dulton has experienced and learnt that the most essential asset is you and
us - the customer. Dulton mainly offers retro products produced primarily
in steel, ranging widely from watches, kitchen scales, sweeping hills and
lamps to bar chairs and cupboards.
Despite the great versatility of the products, they all have a uniform style
and quality, where functionality is envisaged in the design. Dulton products
are minimalistic and masculine, with a twist – thus being the backbone and
identity of Excel.
Dulton has been a valued part of Excel since 2002 and we love the
brand – just like our customers do.

Millions of children in Asia and Africa are reading in the light of dim candles or petroelums lamps. To
replace kerosene lamps with solar lamps improves energy availability, improves study conditions for children, reduce costs for lighting and improves public health.
The cost of petroleum are approx. 325 (compared to avarage european prices) times higher than the
cost of tradiotionel filament lamp lighting and approx. 1625 (compared to avarage european prices)
times more expensive than modern LED light and nothing helps with normal. electric light, as very few
have access to a distribution network.
