According to the NATIONAL SANITATION
FOUNDATION, a filter must be able to reduce lead
levels from 150 parts per billion to 10 ppb. This is

Particle Filters: In-Line Applications
POLY ELEMENTS FOR COMPLETE PARTICLE FILTRATION
PF filters remove sediment and other suspended particles
using elements made from thermally-bonded microfibers of
polypropylene. "Graded Depth" construction provide
element fibers which are wound more tightly toward the
core of the cartridge. Consequently, the entire depth of the
filter element is used for more effective filtration and
longer service life.

The supply water is pre-filtered for particulate removal through a
poly element encased in a stainless steel housing. This "bullet
proof" housing is used in all Filtrine filtration applications and
features unique "Dual Seal" double O-rings design on top and
bottom of cartridge. This insures no by-pass is possible and
insures first-day effectiveness throughout the life of the cartridge.
TASTEMASTER© PURIFICATION
The filtered water then passes through Tastemaster© Purifiers
which remove organic tastes/odors and chlorine. TasteMaster©
elements are biodegradable; the activated carbon will biodegrade
upon disposal. Element replacement requires no tools and the job
is done in about a minute!
STERI-FLO© UV PURIFICATION
The pre-filtration and activated carbon adsorption described in
Steps 1 and 2 above provide the water clarification needed for
effective UV radiation. This greatly improves the efficiency of the
ultraviolet radiation because it eliminates the shadows caused
by turbidity in the water. The UV rays, in concentrated doses break
through the outer cell walls of waterborne micro-organisms and
penetrate into the nucleus to destroy the DNA.
Steri-Flo© ultraviolet sterilizers kill bacteria without chlorine or
