One level up the power scale of angle grinder be the
medium angle grinder (between 1200W to 1800W class).
Thanks for the patented non-teasible mechanism, the
new generation, FPC switch (successor to existing APB/
FPB), is suitable for rated up to 15R(15)A 127Vac 5E4 and
10(10)A 250Vac 5E4 while keeping the same external dimensions and operating travels.

Further up is the large angle grinder (over 2000W), the
market is looking for safe, flexible solution with extra valueadds; products are demanding switch and modules to
tackle zero voltage protection, soft start function and/or
over-loading protections under severe conditions.

Electronic Modules
This “electronization” of AC tools starts at the large angle
grinder and some higher-end products, but is gradually
spreading down to the medium/small grinders among
premium brands. Smaller push button switches are
gradually docking with different customized PCBAs for
increasingly diversified functionalities like variable speed
control, soft starts and over load protection.

NVR
NVR is a standard AC control module featuring the no-volt
release function. This function prevents a tool from being started
in locked position after a power failure or after unplugging when
locked thus avoiding a potentially harmful situation.
Beside the NVR function the module also has feature like soft
start, overload protection and constant speed control. Beside
this standard module Defond can offer customized modules
according to customer specifications.
