These small bags offer all users of legbags, including
users of the SMARTflow Bendi Bag or Comfort Bag the
opportunity to wear short clothing, sports or swimwear.
The small size of the Discreet Bag enables it to be worn
high on the inside or outside of the thigh. There are
eyelets on the sides, as well as top and bottom of this
uniquely shaped drainage bag, which allows the wearer a
number of options to strap the bag in the desired position.
As with all SMARTflow leg bags, they can be connected
to urinary sheaths, urethral or suprapubic catheters.
All SMARTflow Discreet Thigh Bags have direct inlet
tubes with a choice of a ‘straight’ inlet tube in the centre
of the bag, or ‘diagonal’ inlet tube in the opposite corner
to the outlet tap of the bag. If unsure which to choose call

wide soft elasticated strap with a
contrasting dark green Velcro tab to
secure it to the leg. They have anti-slip
silicone lines on the back to ensure it
does not move once attached.

SMARTflow urinary drainage bags are available on UK
prescription and from NHS PASA.
They all have the following features:
1) The inlet tube has the option of a stepped conical universal
adaptor to connect to a urethral or suprapubic catheter for
sterile bags and a smooth conical universal adaptor to connect
to any urinary sheath for non-sterile bags.
Bendi Bags are manufactured on
a state-of-the art fully automated
high frequency welding machine.

2) The inlet tube is soft and flexible to reduce trauma where the

COMFORT
Medical Devices Agency (MDA) in a study comparing
500ml – 700ml bags for urine drainage reported that
“The Bendi Bag was found by wheelchair users to be
more comfortable than other products tested”.
4) The reflux valve minimises infection by preventing urine already
in the bag flowing back up the tubing towards the body.
5) The strap eyelets allow the bag to be securely attached to the
leg. The Bendi and Discreet bags have extra eyelets to allow
the bag to be worn according to preference.
7) The textured PVC helps to avoid excessive sweating and
sticking to the skin. PVC is still the best material to make high
quality medical devices such as drainage bags.
8) All bags are individually tested to ensure the highest possible
level of quality control. The SMARTflow Comfort legbag straps
are available separately on prescription.

6) The outlet tap can have a lever/swing tap action or a sliding/
push valve tap action (sliding tap not available Discreet Bags).
INLET TUBES
Are anti kink, very flexible and available with the adaptor
glued onto the inlet tube as a direct inlet, 12cm inlet &
20cm inlet. There is also an adjustable inlet which
is 35cm long and can be shortened to the required
length. This has a separate push-on conical adaptor to
connect to the sheath or catheter once the required
length is determined.
OUTLET TAPS
Swing taps with self-closing mechanism to prevent
accidental opening during dressing/undressing. Sliding
taps are also available on adjustable inlet non-sterile
bags. Will attach to any night drainage bag using the
separate connecting tube supplied. Extra connecting tubes
are available in packs of 10. Order Code 55.38-10.
A traditionally shaped leg bag suitable for everyone yet
not without some unique features to afford the wearer
extra comfort and security.

INLET TUBE
Inlet tubes are anti kink, very flexible and available with the
conical adaptor glued onto the inlet tube as a direct inlet,
15cm inlet or 45cm.
The 15cm and 45cm inlet tubes can be shortened to the
desired length by simply cutting off the required amount of
inlet tube (including the glued conical adaptor) and pushing
on the supplied spare adaptor into the cut end of the inlet
tube attached to the bag.

FLEXIBLE WEAR
The bag is suitable for all body sizes as its length is
considerably shorter than other manufacturers’ similar
products. It can be worn on the thigh or calf.

THE COTTON LAYER
A natural cotton fleece actually bonded to the bag ensures
