As you will learn, the consolidation brought many opportunities to the credit union and the members we serve. Each credit union was a well-established financial institution for many years. Niles Township Schools Credit Union was chartered in 1958, Barrington Area Educators (BAE) Credit Union in 1956, New Trier Federal Credit Union in 1958 and VAMCO Credit Union in 1940. It is because of each credit union’s longevity and the personal relationships they built with their members that PfCU came to fruition. October 1st, 2015, marked the one-year anniversary of the complete partnership. Our members, as well as our employees, have experienced many changes over the past year. As with any change, there are both pros and cons dependent upon the individuals’ expectations and needs while on their path to achieve financial success. The majority of our members enjoyed a seamless transition and for those members who may have experienced any problems, please accept our sincere apologies. One of our primary goals was to provide exceptional service and a smooth transition for everyone. The main benefit of the consolidation was to enhance our offerings of financial services. Now, members of all four credit unions have access to products and services that were not continued on p2 p1 Letter from the CEO Scholarship Winners p2 Holiday Loans Community Corner -Food Pantry -Toys 4 Tots p3 Rates or Rewards– What’s Right For You Visa Balance Transfer Promotion Holiday Accounts p4 Membership Benefits Products and Services Savings Rates Upcoming Holidays JESSICA L. Another product available as a result of the partnership is affordable insurance. PfCU has continued the relationship and the offering of TruStage Insurance products to all members. Our goal is to be your full-service financial institution making member service our top priority and providing a trusted financial partnership to all members. I’m proud to report that we, PfCU, retained all employees from the four credit unions, with the exception of two who chose to retire and one who left to explore new opportunities. No one lost their job as a result of the consolidation and many will have the opportunity to advance their careers by taking different positions and learning new facets of the business as the credit union continues to grow. In closing, I thank you for this opportunity to continue our valued relationship with you and extend a personal invitation to celebrate our one year anniversary with us on October 22nd and 23rd. Please visit any of our four offices to enjoy a piece of cake and receive a special gift as a token of our appreciation for you and your trust in PfCU. I hope Partnership Financial Credit Union continues to meet and exceed your expectations now and in the future. Sincerely~ Holiday Loans Toys for Tots For more than six decades, the Toys for Tots annual effort has collected and distributed presents to children in need each Holiday season. As one of this year’s sponsors, PfCU will be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys. The donations are regularly transported by Marine Reservists and volunteers to a central warehouse, where the toys are sorted by age and gender-appropriateness. With the help of local social agencies and churches, the presents are distributed to local children in time for the Holidays. Donations of new, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at any office from November through midDecember. We’d like to thank everyone for their participation last year, and we hope to be able to donate even more this year!
