For over 25 years, Rykä has been innovating athletic footwear exclusively for women.
From the shape of her foot to the angle of her stride, we understand that women
require more than just a downsized version of a men’s athletic shoe.
Today our commitment to women is visible not only in the design of our footwear but
also our apparel and fitness products. It extends to our dedicated support of causes

Q-ANGLE
THE SCIENCE
Rykä knows that a woman’s foot shape, muscle
movement, and skeletal structure are all inherently
different from a man’s. The “Q-angle” (quadricep
angle)—the anatomical relationship between
the hip and knee—measures 5-7 degrees greater
for women than men. As a result, women tend
to shift more weight to the outside of their feet
which leads to over-pronation, instability at foot
strike, and higher risk of injury.

High rebound midsole material that provides cushioning on impact and has more shape
retention than traditional EVA compounds.

“Injected Heel Guidance” is a thermo molded heel reinforcement that is used to help
keep the calcaneus (heel) on the platform during lateral movements.

“Skeletal Guidance Shank” is a lightweight injection-molded arch support under the arch
and the midfoot.
Anatomical Precise-Return™ Sockliner
Molded sockline made of EVA and PU blend provides comfort and cushioning.
Contoured arch and heel cup provide additional support and increased comfort.
Precise-Return™ Sockliner
A removable insole that is designed to hug the internal walls of the shoe. The injection
molded EVA and PU blend adds comfort and protection while retaining its shape to
ensure a consistent fit
Dual Density
A strategically placed second density in the midsole provides greater stability underfoot.
Typically located on the medial side to help with pronation, or in the heel for shock
absorbtion.
Ulträ Flex: Engineered to increase flexibility in the forefoot through offset internal and
external flex grooves. Ulträ flex reduces pressure by allowing your foot to move more
naturally, making you comfortable during every movement.
Slip-Resist: Traction pattern outsole flushes material from underneath the foot to
provide stability and protection from slippery surfaces.
Flex Foil
An ultra-thin synthetic material that creates sleek, welded overlays on the upper for
lightweight structure.
Direct-Fuse
A synthetic material that is fused to the upper creating a stitchless layering system that
increases the strength of the upper.
“Defender” Water & Stain Resistant
An environmentally-friendly water and oil repellent with Scotchgard™ Protector from
